PARENT-N-PAL NOTES Parent-N-Pal is a 24-hour program. (Saturday to Sunday Morning) It is the perfect introductory camping program for new or inexperienced campers. All you have to do is show up. Lunch and Dinner Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday as well as the program are provided for you. Parent-N-Pal is a complete package. In order to reap all of the benefits that our program provides, it is strongly recommended that you do not leave until after the service on Sunday morning. Cub Scouts can attend Parent-N-Pal as a pack, den, or individual family, but it should be a one-on-one with your own son (meaning parent son) for the best camping experience. Moms or dads or both can attend. Other family relatives grandparents, etc. are also welcome to attend. Siblings and/or other family members may attend. (Note: If there are two Scouts in your family, it is okay to attend with one parent. And, again, both parents may attend with their Scout son(s).) Note: If you absolutely must bring another boy with you whose parent cannot attend, you may do so. It is not recommended, but it is allowed. You must have a note from a parent or guardian that allows for them to be in your care; and transport to/from camp. The program is open to all registered Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and WEBELOS Scouts; however, it is encouraged that they attend either 3-day Adventure or 5-day Resident Camp, to better prepare them for the Boy Scout program. Scouting is an age-appropriate program within which guidelines have been developed based on the mental, physical, emotional, and social maturity of youth members. Parent-N-Pal is meant to be a basic camping program. Our WEBELOS Parent-N-Pal experience and the Council s overnight Resident Camp programs offer more challenging and varied opportunities for your older Scouts than are provided at younger Cub Scout Parent-N-Pal weekend. The menu contains items that some may be allergic to, please let us know any allergies. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches will be available as an alternate to the menu set for the event. We are looking forward to seeing you at Camp Childress for our Facing Challenges Parent-N-Pal! If you have any questions regarding the information in this packet or about the event, please contact Dan Weibel at 417-499-3995 or dan.weibel1@gmail.com Forgive us as we update this event. An event of this magnitude is ever-changing!!
