Highlights included: the Licorice and Chocolate Factory in Junee, Puffing Billy Steam Train through the Dandenong ranges, Phillip Island, and Sovereign Hill in Ballarat, to name a few. PALM LAKE OYSTER COVE LAWN BOWLS Some of our regulars have headed off on their annual Winter holidays but we continue to enjoy good numbers for Sunday & Thursday Bowls. Beryl and Tom will be organising the State of Origin Bowls for 2018. Our Monthly BBQ will be held Sunday, 3rd. June - Come along and enjoy a pleasant social outing - All residents welcome - List on Bowls Notice Board. We have had a lot of DVD s donated to us just lately. It is a problem, in as much as we are limited for shelf space to display them. Some of these DVD s are suitable in our opinion, however others might think otherwise. So we are trialing a system where we put a sticker on the front cover and ask you to give it a tick or a X on what you thought of it. When we go to sort them, anything that hasn t been marked as seen, will go. Please feel free to use all of the goods in the library and also to donate so there is always something new and up-to-date that you think others might like. PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS, AS IT IS YOUR LIBRARY TOO -Beryl McConnell Mother s Day Almost 50 residents who did not have family close by got together for Mother s Day lunch in the BBQ area because the day was so nice after the wind on Saturday. Everyone bought a plate to share, the Mothers all got a few glasses of Bubbly and everyone shared in delicious chocolates. As it was a private function, no raffles were held. Everyone went home very happy. 4
