Dear colleagues, Our second International Annual Meeting of the ICALT3/Differentiation project and is approaching. We are happy to inform you that we have received the final program of the presentations, now we are able to provide you more information about our meeting. In this newsletter you will find practical information about the program, the participants, the venues, and other related matters For our projects there are three important activities: 1) the symposium; 2) the round table, and; 3) the project meetings. Below you will find the information for these activities. First we give you some information about the participants, the contact information and their residence. This is located in the North-West edge of the campus. Only the symposium is in the building south of the NIEbuilding. The room of the project meeting is not known yet.
Route and public transport to the campus is as follows: By Bus Take SBS Transit Service 179 or 199 from Boon Lay Interchange. Frequency reduces after 7pm. You can stop at the overhead bridge between the NIE and NTU campuses. For 179A, there is no operation on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays & school holidays. Service 179A starts from Boon Lay Interchange during the morning peak hours only. By MRT Alight at Boon Lay MRT or Pioneer MRT. For more information, you may visit www.transitlink.com.sg. By Car From PIE (towards Tuas), take Exit 36 Turn right onto Jalan Bahar. You will see a sign directing you to NIE/NTU. Turn left into Nanyang Avenue and drive approximately 1.5km until you reach the main entrance of NTU. From the PIE (towards City/Changi), take Exit 38 Turn left off the slipway. You will see a sign directing you to NIE/NTU. Follow the road on the left then turn right onto Nanyang Drive. Continue to drive along Nanyang Drive, past Nanyang Terrace staff housing and go over the crossroads with Nanyang Avenue. Approximately 1km after the crossroads you will see an overhead bridge over the road; to the right is NIE campus and to the left is NTU campus. From AYE (towards Jalan Boon Lay), take Exit 17 (signposted Jurong Bird Park) Follow the sign to Jalan Boon Lay. Approximately 2km along this road, you will see a sign directing you to NIE/NTU. Turn left into Nanyang Avenue and drive approximately 1.5km until you reach the main entrance of NTU. NIE uses cash card parking. Please refer to the 'Campus Map' section of this page for the rates. This service operates daily including Sundays and public holidays, from 7.30am to 10.30 pm daily. Pick-up and dropoff point outside NTU campus: Public bus stop no. 22529 (directly outside Block 649A, Jurong West Street 63).
NIE 5 B3-38 (learning sciences lab) This is the route to the learning science lab when you didn t meet us at the entrance of Building 1: The tutorial room of the round table (tutorial room 508 NIE) is also in block 5 of the NIE building (see next page). The lecture theatre of the symposium is in another building south to the NIE building (see right and the last page).
