When the first Qatar Airways flight landed in the U.S., we knew just how important this market would be to our growing global network. Fast forward 10 years and we have grown from one to 10 gateways across the U.S. with more planned for 2018. We are also proud and honored to have received several major accolades at the recent 2017 Skytrax Awards. AT THE AIRPORT: CELEBRATING ONE YEAR AT ATL AND 10 YEARS AT IAD In addition to being the month of our 10th anniversary to NYC and IAD, June was also the first anniversary of our ATL service. We celebrated with our amazingly friendly passengers in Atlanta en route to Doha on June 1. Guests were surprised at the gate with some delicious burgundy and white cupcakes and peach iced tea to commemorate our commitment to the great state of Georgia. We identified three passengers who also had something to celebrate - a young man s birthday and couple s big move back home to Malaysia - and surprised them with complimentary upgrades to the World s Best Business Class. Our trade partners in the Atlanta area were also treated to very special QR cupcakes, hand delivered by our sales team. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for a video of the celebration at the airport that day. Last year, we made our inaugural ATL flight into a momentous occasion with a special Airbus 380 flight. We now operate a Boeing 777 daily from ATL to our hub in Doha. With the addition of the ATL flight to our network, thousands of passengers are now able to conveniently connect and reach multiple destinations throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa and beyond. Business Class passengers traveling through ATL can enjoy complimentary access at The Club lounge which offers free Wi-Fi, a business center, free conference room, shower and relaxation facilities. The Club is open daily from 6am to 9:30pm.

We ve seen the growth of many key destinations from our IAD gateway, with the top six being Bangkok, Chennai, Hyderabad, Colombo, Bangalore and Dhaka. Complimentary access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge is available for our Business Class passengers flying out of IAD; it features free Wi-Fi, a busines center, televison viewing and shower facilities. The response was overwhelming, with our state-of-the-art seat being called revolutionary, game-changer and more. The first destination to feature the Qsuite was London on June 24 to be followed by Paris and then New York; our fleet is being retrofitted at the rate of plane per month. THE ULTIMATE STOPOVER IN DOHA: KIDZMONDO A stopover in Doha is filled with fun activities for adults and kids can now get in on the fun in a very unique way. We celebrated the opening of KidzMondo, the aviation-inspired edutainment city last month. KidzMondo is an indoor theme park that offers kids or Kidizens aged between two and fourteen realistic and engaging role-playing activities. The goal is to uncover their creativity through fun-learning within the boundaries of the kid-sized city. Built on a total indoor area of about 8,000 square miles, KidzMondo Doha offers various sponsored activities in the Mall of Qatar.
