Visitor s TOP TIPS The local beaches and coastline are beautiful, particularly Elberry Cove where you can walk your dog all year round. Walk into Dartmouth and you have the option to walk back the same way or return on the lower ferry. Crab fishing in Brixham harbour is a must, it s great fun with children The walk to Berry Head and Brixham via the bridleway next door and the coast path is stunning. We went to the Brixham Steam Fair and had a wonderful day. There was entertainment for all ages, including for under 10 year olds. Elberry Cove St Mary s Bay Walk Cycle 10 Newton Abbot to Brixham This route starts near Newton Abbot train station and heads south east along future NCN route 28 towards Torquay, then along the coastal path to Paignton and then onto Brixham breakwater. 9 Local walks From the site entrance a 2 mile walk will bring you to Mansands Beach, where you can join the coastal path. Special site features Swimming pool You can enjoy the outdoor heated swimming pool and children s pool from the end of May to mid September (weather dependent). Normal pool opening times are 10am 6pm but keep an eye on the information boards as timed sessions may run during busy periods. A lifeguard is on duty when the pool is open, however children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. On-Site Shop Selling all your basic needs such as bread, milk, newspapers and groceries. You ll find all you would expect at a convenience store, with the added advantage of a wide range of caravan and camping accessories. Restaurant and Bar The complex includes a restaurant, a bar and evening entertainment area, and a family games room. Enjoy a variety of freshly cooked meals including children s menu, light bites and take-away, plus a delicious carvery on Sundays (please check with staff early or late season). Site Information Pitches Pitch care Please lift awning ground sheet daily. Motorhomes If your pitch is left unoccupied, please leave your motorhome sign on display. Vacating your pitch If you wish to depart after 12 noon please enquire at reception. Barbecues Please keep barbecues off the grass. Open fires are not allowed on site. Wifi Wifi is available. Please speak to Sites Staff for more information. Electric hook-up The costs of electricity are included in your pitch fee, but please think of the environment by considering your electricity use. Safety on site Fire point There are alarm/warning bells located at each service point, reception and entertainment complex. Pets Please keep dogs on a lead at all times and clean up after them. Please do not leave pets alone when you are off site. Vehicles and cycles Please ensure that all members of your party follow the principles of road safety. All vehicles and bicycles on site should not exceed 5mph, one way systems signs should be observed, and there should be no cycling on site during the hours of darkness. Visitors Please ask visitors to park in visitor s car park and meet at reception on arrival. Security barrier You will be given a code when booking in. Site Facilities Toilets and showers The toilet blocks are closed for cleaning: Upper Block: 10.30am to 12.30pm. Lower Block: 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Disabled toilet and shower facilities are accessed with a RADAR key. Keys for baby and toddler bathrooms are available from reception. Please ensure that children are supervised by an adult at all times. Laundry Washing machine 4.00, Tumble drier 1.00, Rinse & Spin 1.00 per 15 minute cycle. Play areas There is a play area for ball games and a playground with play equipment. Please ensure that children are supervised by an adult at all times.
