We ll visit resident artists in their studios, the Museo Romantico or the Architecture Museum, and enjoy lunch at a local eatery....... CAYO LARGA... Meet residents and discuss their way of life on this isolated key. Later this evening, dine onboard the Panorama and set sail for Havana. DAY 5 HAVANA Enjoy breakfast and lunch onboard the Panorama as we sail into Havana Harbor. In the early afternoon, we disembark for a people-to-people exchange with the Havana Compas dance group. Under the instruction of choreographer Lillet Riviera, dancers perform using anything they can get their hands on, including drumsticks, slippers, chairs, claves, castanets, heels, and drums to integrate into flamenco gestures and Cuban folkloric dance moves. Afterwards, we ll engage in an exchange with an emerging artist, Daymi, at her studio. Dinner will be served onboard the Panorama in the harbor. This evening, explore the city at your leisure. DAY 6 HAVANA After breakfast onboard, take a full-day tour of Havana and surrounding areas, to follow in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway. Enjoy a short presentation and exchange with the locals on sustainable urban agriculture, then take part in a cooking demonstration. Next, we continue to Jaimanita to see the neighborhood artwork of Jose Fuster, one of Cuba s best-known modern artists, whose art has spread from his studio into the surrounding neighborhood, lovingly called Fusterlandia. Next, you ll visit one of Cuba s largest cigar factories to get a firsthand look at cigar making. Then, you ll visit the San Jose art market.
