Local Information Conference Site The conference will take place in the Wates House on the University of Surrey campus. Its location is marked on the attached campus map. From the YMCA, the University campus can be reached within - minutes by foot. From the Carlton Hotel, it takes about 25-35 minutes by foot to campus. Heathrow Airport - Guildford By Taxi ( 39 per car): Taxi Beeline Travel information +44 (0)1483 823232 Contact the taxi company a few days before your arrival or departure with your airline and flight number information: they will pick you up at the airport or the hotel. By Coach: The Woking Rail-Air Link runs every 30 minutes from Heathrow (all terminals) to and back. Inside Heathrow, follow the signs to Local Buses or Buses (do not go to the central bus station). The schedule and the platform information for each terminal can be found on the next page. You can buy tickets ( 8 single) from the National Express ticket counter in Terminals 1, 3 and 4 or on the coach when leaving from Terminal 2. The journey to Woking takes about minutes. From, take a train toward Portsmouth Harbour to Guildford Station which is the next stop. Alternatively, take a taxi from directly to the hotel in Guildford (around 12-). By Train: Trains to Guildford Station run roughly every hour from the train station in the South Terminal: Take trains toward Reading via Redhill do not go via Clapham Junction. A single ticket costs around 9. The journey takes roughly minutes. YMCA: The YMCA is a very short walk away from the station (see the attached map). Newton Institute Coach from Cambridge to Guildford Cambridge to Guildford: Departure from the Newton Institute (front entrance) on Monday, 19 September 2005, at 9:00 am. By Car Guildford to Cambridge: Departure from the Carlton Hotel on Friday, 23 September 2005, at 14:30 pm Exit the M25 at Junction onto the A3 toward Guildford. Take the Burpham/Merrow exit (which is easy to miss!). Keep straight at the first mini roundabout, and turn left on the next major roundabout onto London Road. Keep straight until you see the Carlton Hotel to your left.

Fast Departures every 30 minutes throughout the majority of the day, seven days a week#. With a journey time of less than an hour, the Woking Railair is the most convenient link between Woking Station and Heathrow Airport. # 25 and 26 December, no service. Arriving at Woking On arrival by train at Woking station, follow the Railair signs to the exit on platform 5. There is a lift service linking all platforms. The coach leaves from immediately outside the station. Railair Customer Service staff will be on hand to assist you if required. Returning from Heathrow Finding the Railair coach is simple. Just follow the yellow signs marked 'Railair Link' with a yellow coach symbol to the door of the Arrivals Hall.
