The majestic Drakensberg Mountains provide a picturesque backdrop to Sunset Game Lodge which offers luxury self-catering accommodation in the greater Kruger National Park area. Situated in the Guernsey Private Game Reserve, south east of the town of Hoedspruit, in South Africa s Limpopo province, the lodge is easily accessible via road (a comfortable 5 hour drive from Gauteng) or air (a shuttle service is available from Eastgate airport, Hoedspruit). Built to host a maximum of sixteen guests, Sunset Game Lodge offers the perfect venue for exclusive corporate getaways, team building events, client retreats, group workshops or any other weekend away. Our affordable rates allow you to factor in your fees for workshops and packaged retreats, and make corporate getaways available to SMEs as well as large corporates. LODGE ACCOMMODATION RATES 2018: R 5,300 per night for up to 10 guests R 8,480 per night for 11 to 16 guests Rates include accommodation for all 7 rooms and use of entire lodge facilities. ACCOMMODATION: The lodge offers seven air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms: 3 rooms with king beds 3 rooms with twin (2 x single) beds *can be converted to king beds 1 double twin (2 x double beds) Four of the seven luxury rooms have full bathrooms (bath & shower) with his and hers basins. Each luxurious room has been decorated with artistic flair, with the use of different shapes and colours to give a distinctly eclectic African feel. The rooms offer all the luxury amenities required to guarantee a comfortable stay, such as hairdryers, air-conditioning and tea and coffee facilities. All bedrooms lead out to the beautifully cool, sparkling swimming pool.
ACTIVITY AREAS: The lodge offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activity areas including: the enclosed boma: sit around the fire in the evenings or have the area set up with tables and chairs for daytime activities. paved pool terrace: perfect for yoga or other group exercise. dining area: with a retractable screen to close off for meetings or slideshow presentations. the lounge: comfortably sits groups of up to 10 and includes a 42 TV with DSTV connection. the deck: offers a spacious semi-indoor area for group games, discussions, demonstrations and more. Team building activities can be arranged through the Blyde Canyon Adventure Centre (see www.blydecanyon.co.za) or hosted at the lodge if your own equipment is supplied. Uncapped Wifi is available throughout the lodge if required (billed at an additional rate of R 700 for the duration of the stay).
THE KITCHEN: Our fully equipped gourmet kitchen has an easy to use open plan layout and encourages social kitchen gatherings. Meals can be enjoyed in a variety of different places - in the dining room, on the magnificent deck, in the boma or under the stars in the African bush. Should guests prefer to not cook for themselves, there is the option to make use of the restaurant in the conservancy (which does burgers and pizzas for sit down and take away). Customised menus and private chef options are available at the lodge on request. THE POOL: The lodge pool is in the central courtyard of the lodge. Cool off after a busy day, use the area for outdoor activities, or spend a lazy day reclining on one of our pool loungers. Swimming towels are provided.
THE BAR: is self-catering, allowing you control over whether or not alcohol is served during your stay. Your guests can enjoy a sundowner in our superb bar, situated high above the veld. Relax on the spacious deck while you enjoy the spectacular view of the Drakensberg mountain, whilst keeping an eye out for a variety of game at the waterhole below. Or swing gently to and fro in one of the hanging chairs, close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the African bush, all the while sipping a long cool drink.
