14. DP World Maputo Value Proposition Transshipment Potential: Ports in the region have limited draft. With these development potential exists to use DP World Maputo for Transhipping containers, possibly even terminating main line call at Maputo and using smaller feeders to serve the remaining ports. Reliability: In the African context, Container Shipping Lines have limited options in terms for reliable terminal service provider to protect schedule integrity. With the plans for equipment (QC/RTG/draft/Depth/Road/Rail) DP World Maputo can ensure service, a definite plus considering the regional context. Landside Connections We believe the reliability and connections will also be an enabler to develop the hinterland markets with the increase in productivity/efficacy and reduction in cost with direction connections. This will promote business in the region and increase the overall market size. Maputo Intermodal Container Depot: We have already set up a stuffing depot to support flow of regional cargo for stuffing. We have already seen the volumes ramp up considerably in the last few months so the investments in capability are playing off Waterside Connections 19
