General Information Housing Nevada Camp Staff University of Nevada head football coach Brian Polian is entering his second year as the 26th head coach in the 106-year history of the University of Nevada. Polian comes to Nevada after a year as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Texas A&M, which capped an 11-2 season in 2013 with a win over Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl. He has coached on both sides of the ball and earned a reputation as one of the top recruiters in the nation in previous coaching roles at Stanford (2010-11), Notre Dame (2005-09), UCF (2004) and Buffalo (2001-03). Guest coaches from colleges and high schools around the country will also be included. All officials for seven-onsevens and scrimmages will be provided. NFL and College Officials Camp will be held in conjunction with both Teams Camps. University of Nevada Head Football Coach Brian Polian Dormitory space is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Overnight campers must bring their own pillows, blankets, toiletries, towels and any personal items. No sheets are provided. Sleeping bags are acceptable and highly encouraged. Insurance, and Medical Care Each camper must be covered by a parent s/guardian s medical insurance. Campers may not participate in any activities without this information on file with University staff. The mandatory health and parent/camper behavior pledge forms must be completely filled out and signed before the camper will be accepted to the camp. The University has a full-time athletic trainer and assistants that are on duty 24 hours a day. In addition, the University Medical Training facilities are located next to the practice fields. Required Equipment Campers must bring their own equipment. Required items include helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, pants, knee pads, thigh pads, hip and tail pads, mouth piece and shoes. Session I: June 14-17, 2014, Saturday-Tuesday or Session II: June 19-22, 2014, Thursday-Sunday The focus of the University of Nevada Team Contact Football Camp is to provide teams with the opportunity to further develop their offensive and defensive schemes against live competition. The four-day camp features the Nevada football coaching staff teaching the drills and position-specific fundamentals used by the team. Campers will be housed on campus in University dormitories; a commuter day-camp option is available to individuals by application, pending space in camp. Daily camp activities will include: Nevada Position-specific Drills One-on-One and Group Competitions Three-on-Three, Inside Run and Goal-line Challenge High School Team Installation Time Seven-on-Seven Passing League and Team Pass Team Scrimmages under the lights Camp Schedule/Location Details will be sent upon registration. Fees and Registration Security Deposits for Overnight Camps* Please note: ALL overnight camps require a security deposit in addition to the participant registration fee(s): Teams: Schools bringing teams to overnight camps are required to include a $500 deposit per camp, submitted with your final registration payment. Security deposits, minus any charges for dorm damage, lost dorm keys/pass cards, and/ or last-minute addition of players/coaches, will be refunded within 90 days after the end of each camp. Individuals: A $50 security deposit per overnight camp is required with your registration fee. Deposit will be refunded within 90 days after the end of camp only if your dorm key has been returned and no room damage has occurred. Fees/Overnight Campers Fee for overnight campers includes all camp activities, dorm accommodations (three nights) and all meals (Day 1 dinner through Day 4 breakfast). One coach for every 10 players attends at no cost; additional coaches are $130 each.
