Happy April Goldwingers! Last month I was hopeful March would bring warmer weather, but this month I am hoping and praying for warm and drier weather which may or may not happen according to the weather man. Thanks to all of you who came out to ride in the St. Patrick s Day parade! We had a beautiful day, 5 bikes or trikes and tons of fun. In may we have the BBQ fund raiser for next years Toy Run. I will need help and spritiual guidance for that. Then the following weekend the OmeletFest. After breakfast we will be playing Bunco as we have had to cancel both secheduled events in the past 4 months becasuse of snow. I will have sign up sheet at the next meeting for you to sign up to bring all the things that we will need for each event. Terry & Patti Schiesser have volunteered to be our new historians. As we prepare for our 1 st Legancy Ride in September for the Annual Picnic in Huntly we will be putting together a list of past members & officers. We would like to gather all this information and pictures you may have. Terry and Patti will compile it. We will be inviting our Legacy members to ride with us chauffeured on a bike or in a car. So we need to get started planning now. Please help with this endeavor. Bring your information and pictures to chapter gatherings or email to them at advantageelect@yahoo.com or terrys131@yahoo.com. As per your request the T-shirts will be at chapter gatherings for sale. Gary & Linda Frank have volunteerede to take on the t-shirts at the April Gathering. I have included the price list of products available to order. Only T-shirts and hats will be available at the meetings. The other products will need to be ordered and paid for at time of ordering. As I mentioned last month I have ride cards printed and readily available at group gathering. I also have posters if you want to put one in your busness window or if you know somone who would let you put it in their window. Sheridan Chapter has sent over their ride schedule if anyone would like to join them. They will be joining us for on a couple of our rides also. I have enclosed it as well See you Thursday at the gathering and make sure you do the word search because we will be having some prizes! MT-B MEMBERSHIP ENHANCEMENT APRIL 2018 What are you going to do in April 2018 to help get new members into GWRRA and help keep our members coming back to our chapter and/or GWRRA in general? 1. Have you been wearing your Gold Wing colors for our chapter? I.E. Wearing vests to meetings, dinner rides, any other functions. Please be proud of what GWRRA represents and why you became a member of GWRRA in the first place. 2. Do you have copies of chapter ride cards on you or within your vehicle (any vehicle)? These are also great conversation starters. Most individuals that you give one to are very surprised at the number of things we do in a year. This is your chance to invite them to one of our rides and/or meetings. 3. If you have business cards indicating your name, chapter affiliation, cell number, etc. please keep some with you. This will tell the prospect you are involved and love what our chapter and/or GWRRA is involved in. You do not need to be in an officers position to have business cards. They are relatively inexpensive. 4. This year we are kicking off the riding season with an Omelet Fest at Barbara and Mike Depner s house on April 19 th at 9:00AM. Please come and join us with lots of omelets to eat and don't forget to watch the cooks as they perform there Magic at cooking them. Please leave your snow at home. Thank you!
