Victim stated her ex-boyfriend dropped their daughter off. The daughter has a key to the apartment and came inside. Victim told her daughter to go back downstairs with her father and the daughter did so, leaving the key on the chair in the living room. After the daughter left, victim locked her door. Next thing she heard was the ex-boyfriend forcing his way through the locked door. The ex-boyfriend entered victim s apartment, threatened victim and then left. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. (Residential- Condo s) S - Stolen Manufacturer CADILLAC Model ATS License No. Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Description 2016 Blue Cadillac ATS Notes License plate is not on the vehicle. Victim reports on 09/10/2018 at approx. 2:00pm, three people from Auto Recovery Company came to her residence and took her vehicle. They did not have any paperwork and did not provide their names. The reason they gave for taking the vehicle was victim didn t have insurance on her vehicle. The vehicle is a lease vehicle, and according to victim she does have insurance on the vehicle. Victim was allowed to take her personal property and the license plate from the vehicle. Victim called the dealership where she leased the vehicle and she was told her lease expires in October of 2018? The only description victim could provide of the suspects were a Heavy B/M, Thin B/M, and a W/F. Towing Company picked the vehicle up on 09/13/2018 around 11:00am for a private property impound. Towing Company brought the vehicle back to their lot where it was discovered that it was a stolen vehicle out of another jurisdiction. 09/14/2018 1:20am 25000 Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) I - Information Only Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model IMPALA Color Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style State MI Description Recovered Stolen Towing Company called in a repo on the vehicle, Dispatch ran the vehicle which was in LEIN as a stolen. The 2006 Chevrolet Impala was stolen out of Detroit on 06/25/2018. There is no suspect information available at this time.

From: 09/12/2018 5:30pm To: 09/12/2018 6:40pm 25000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Restaurant) S - Stolen Manufacturer Handgun Description 9mm, stolen from trunk of victims 2013 Chrysler 200. Victim states she was at restaurant in the 25000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Sometime between 5:30pm- 6:40pm her 2013 Chrysler 200 was broken into and her handgun was stolen from the trunk. It is unknown how entry was gained. There is no suspect information available. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their handguns in their vehicles. On 08/17/2018 victim noticed her lug nuts had been removed from her vehicles right front wheel. This was not reported however, victim placed a camera in her vehicle to capture the suspect if he returned. On 09/10/2018 at 4:53am she captured video of a B/M suspect (20 s, 6 0-6 2, thin build, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and mask covering face) carrying a crow bar walking around her vehicle and then approached other vehicles in the area.

From: 09/10/2018 10:00am To: 09/10/2018 12:00pm 20000 Greenfield Rd. (Office- Medical Building) Stereo/ Navigation System for 2019 Jeep Cherokee was taken. Victim states sometime between 10:00am- 12:00pm someone broke out rear window on his 2019 Jeep Cherokee and took the In-Dash Stereo/ Navigation System. From: 09/10/2018 9:00am To: 09/10/2018 1:02pm 20000 Greenfield Rd. (Office- Medical Building) Stereo/ Navigation System for 2017 Jeep Compass was taken. Officer was patrolling the lot in the 20000 Block of Greenfield Rd. due to an earlier LFA that occurred. Officer observed a second vehicle attacked, a Black 2017 Jeep Compass with the rear passenger s side window busted out. The Stereo Navigation System had been removed from the dashboard of the vehicle. 09/10/2018 11:27am 21000 Northland Park Court Stereo System was taken from victims 2016 Dodge Journey. Victim states on 09/10/2018 at 11:27am someone entered vehicle through unlocked door and took the In-Dash Stereo System. Victim states there is surveillance video of incident. Suspect is an unknown B/M. No further information. It appears that this incident and the two above this all occurred within the same time and proximity. (See 2- Incidents above that occurred in the 20000 Block of Greenfield Rd.)

(Commercial- Food) S - Stolen Manufacturer IPHONE Model 8+ Color RED - Red Description IPHONE 8+ Victim, (employee) had her iphone 8 sitting on a table near the bathroom. Surveillance video shows a B/M about 20 years of age enters the store at 1:40pm. He walks to the bathroom. He exits the bathroom and walks past victim s cell phone sitting on the table. He then looks around and back tracks to the bathroom. He walks past victim s cell phone a second time, grabs the phone and leaves the business. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens and employee s while at work should never leave their cell phones unattended. Victim states he parked his 2018 Dodge Charger in his carport at his Apartment Complex at 10:00pm. Victim returned to his carport the following morning at 7:50am and discovered All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken from his vehicle.

(Commercial- Shopping Plaza) S - Stolen Manufacturer GUITAR Description ACOUSTIC GUITAR WITH CASE Victim states he parked his 2014 Jeep Patriot in the parking lot in the 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. at 2:30pm. (Shopping Mall) Victim returned to his vehicle at 3:00pm and discovered that someone had entered his vehicle and taken his acoustic guitar. No signs of forced entry. 09/14/2018 11:08am Greenfield Rd. & W Lincoln Dr. S Stolen Chainsaw Manufacturer STIL Color WHI - White Notes WHITE AND ORANGE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Landscaping Crews need to lock up all their equipment while out working on job sites. In some case s the locks have been cut from landscaping trailers and edger s, blowers etc. have been taken. Workers should try to park their trailers in an area that they can keep an eye on trailer while working. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states while working at site in the area of Greenfield Rd. & Lincoln Dr. an Older Silver or Tan, GMC or Chevrolet Pickup Truck pulled up to their landscaping trailer and stopped. A W/M exited the vehicle, grabbed their chainsaw, threw it into his truck and then fled southbound on Greenfield. Victim stated that he chased the truck on foot but could not get close enough to get a plate. Suspect Description: Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) 30 Sex M Race WHITE Height 5' 10" Weight 160 Notes BLK BALL CAP, DARK FLANNEL BUTTON UP LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, DARK PANTS.

09/15/2018 2:28am 25000 W Twelve Mile (Residential- Apartments) Black iphone and black purse containing victims credit cards was taken. Officers were dispatched to investigate possible Domestic Assault. Officers arrived and confirmed male half assaulted female and there were obvious injuries to the female. After the assault, the suspect took victims black iphone and black purse containing her credit cards from inside of the house without her permission. Suspect then left the property in his Silver 2018 Dodge Ram. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. 09/16/2018 1:14pm 28000 Stuart Ave. (Group Home) An undisclosed amount of money was taken from victim s purse. Victim states that another Group Home member stole an undisclosed amount of cash from her purse. Victim states she discovered her purse opened in her bedroom and the suspect was the only other person in the home when the incident occurred. The suspect denied taking the money. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition Unarmed Robbery: 09/13/2018 1:24am W Eight Mile Rd. & Lahser Rd. (Gas Station) Cash was taken from victim. Officers were sent to Hospital to meet with a Robbery victim. The victim said that he exited the bus at Eight Mile and Southfield and went into the gas station to buy cigarettes. When he exited the store, he was assaulted by six subjects who took his cash from him and fled S/B into Detroit. The victim went to Hospital for treatment. One of the suspects is known to the victim (Nick name only) and both have had altercations with each other in the past. Incident is under investigation. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police

Type of Incident: Larceny from Automobile Date of Incident: August 13, 2018 Time: 2:00 a.m. (approximately) Location: 19000 block of Hickory Leaf Southfield, MI Incident Details: Attached is video (above) of a suspect committing a Larceny from Automobile. The suspect entered vehicle and stole several credit cards and miscellaneous identification from the vehicle. Arrests by SPD Officers: OWI= Operate While Impaired OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics LFA= Larceny from Auto R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property DWLS= Driving with Suspended License A&B= Assault & Battery CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon NOLOP= No Operator License on Person R/A= Robbery Armed RNA= Robbery Not Armed PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver PPO= Personal Protection Order PBT= Preliminary Breath Test R/P= Reporting Party Description of Suspect: Black male, wearing shorts and a backpack. This is a good reminder to always lock vehicles and to not leave anything of value in vehicles, especially in plain sight. It s also a reminder to lock interior garage doors that lead to the residence. Garage door openers in a vehicle that is broken into can be used to enter the residence. This incident is under investigation by the Southfield Police Department. Anyone that has any information regarding the identity of this suspect is asked to call (248) 796-5500.

Stabbing/ Attempt Murder Investigation and Arrest 09/16/2018 3:00am 18000 Block of Addison Dr. Victim sustained multiple cuts on her chest, arms and abdomen. The suspect is her ex-boyfriend s current girlfriend. The suspects fled in a Dark Colored Ford Fusion. The victim was transported to Providence Hospital for medical assistance. The suspect and vehicle were located by Flint Township PD. The suspect and the boyfriend were arrested and held until pick up by our Department. The suspect vehicle was also recovered and towed back to Southfield. Trespassing- 2- Ordinance Violations were issued. 09/13/2018 1:07am 20000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Church) Officer and his K-9 were conducting a property inspection and training on the property at Church. During the exercise Officer observed two male subjects on the roof of the church. Officer ordered the two to climb down and both ran out of sight. One of the subjects reappeared and climbed down from the roof. Security was summoned and the building was checked for any sign of entry, none was found. The subject said that he and his friend were just climbing on the building. The other subject was located a short time later. Both subjects were cited for trespassing.

Special Attention: MDOP/ Attempt Retail Fraud 09/10/2018 1:25am 28000 Telegraph Rd. (Discount Super Store) R/P (Store Director) stated she received a call from the stores remote security regarding a B/M with a grey hoodie in the alcohol section. The subject was selecting numerous bottles of high end liquor and placing it in his cart. R/P made her way to the alcohol aisle and the subject told her, "Get out of my way." The subject then approached the south entry/exit doors with the cart of merchandise. R/P walked past the subject and stood at the entry/exit doors with another team member. The subject watched her and went to Self- Checkout Lane. R/P approached the subject and offered to assist him with checkout. The subject stated, "Get out of my face and leave me alone." R/P told the subject she could not sell him the liquor due to her feeling uncomfortable with the purchase. The subject became extremely violent, started swearing at R/P, threw a candy bar at her and pushed his cart away leaving it near the selfcheckout lane. A bottle of liquor also fell out of the subject s pants at this time. The suspect proceeded to punch the stores computer monitor near the selfcheckout damaging it, and he left the store. The suspect was observed getting into Dark Colored Vehicle and there was also a Blue Chevy Traverse associated with this incident. OWI- 1- Arrest 09/16/2018 11:49pm Southfield Rd. & Mount Vernon St. Officer s stopped a vehicle for excessive speed. Upon speaking with the driver, it was apparent that he had been consuming intoxicating beverages. The driver was investigated for OWI and subsequently arrested and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest 09/12/2018 11:18pm Lahser Rd. & W Twelve Mile Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving and investigated the driver for OWI. Upon completion of the investigation the driver was arrested and lodged.

Suspect Description: B/M approx. 20-25 years of age with a full beard. Approximately 5'-8" thin build. Suspect was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans. Unknown hair. Suspect has taken items from the store in the past. Special Attention: Attempt Larceny of Wheels & Tires Suspect Information: 21000 Block of Colony Park Cir. (Apartments) On 08/17/2018 victim noticed her lug nuts had been removed from her vehicles right front wheel. This was not reported however, victim placed a camera in her vehicle to capture the suspect if he returned. On 09/10/2018 at 4:53am she captured video of a B/M suspect 20 s, 6 0-6 2, thin build, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and mask covering his face. He was carrying a crow bar walking around her vehicle and then approached other vehicles in the area. Fleeing & Eluding/ F/A on Police Officer 09/13/2018 9:27am W Eight Mile Rd. & Evergreen Rd. On 9/13/2018 Officers attempted to stop a Red Dodge SRT Durango at 8 Mile and Patton for a Traffic Offense. The vehicle fled s/b into Detroit and was immediately terminated by Officers. On 9/14/2018 Officer spotted the same vehicle s/b on Greenfield Rd. at Northland Drive. Officers surveilled the vehicle into Detroit and notified a DPD Marked Patrol Unit who assisted Officers in blocking the vehicle in at the intersection. The Dodge Durango accelerated striking Officers vehicles. Officer who was on foot at the time of the incident was stuck by his vehicle. No injuries occurred. The vehicle was pursued by DPD and lost. Within an hour, Southfield Officers located the vehicle in the City of Southfield and followed it to a Collision Shop in Detroit. DPD was notified and responded to scene. The suspect was located, positively identified and arrested by DPD for Felonious Assault on a Police Officer/ & Fleeing & Eluding.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and DWLS/ Fraud/ Possession of Marijuana- 1- Arrest 09/13/2018 7:57pm 24000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Gas Station) Officers were dispatched to the 24000 Block of Northwestern Hwy (Gas Station) for a report of a possible fraud. Citizen reported a B/M, 5'-9, 150lbs, black jacket with a white stripe, and dark jeans attempted to buy gas for the R/P. The R/P became suspicious when suspect stated he would buy R/P s gas and he would only have to pay the suspect half in cash. Suspect was in a Blue Chrysler 300C and he provided dispatch with the license plate. Officer located and stopped the vehicle after observing it leaving the Gas Station. The suspect after being stopped immediately told Officers he had some weed in the center console of his vehicle. Further investigation by Officers revealed that the driver had a suspended license, a Southfield Warrant and six (6) Fraudulent Credit Cards were recovered. The suspect was taken into custody. Southfield Detectives later interviewed subject. The subject made admissions to the possession and use of fraudulent credit cards. Detectives contacted the banks and card holders for the credit cards. The cards were all confirmed fraud.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. Disorderly Conduct/ Warrant for Car Jacking- 1- Arrest 09/14/2018 11:04pm 21800 W Eleven Mile Rd. Officers were dispatched to the rear alley in the 21000 Block of W 11 Mile Rd. on reports of a disturbance. An anonymous neighbor called and stated that she heard several people yelling and possibly fighting. Officers arrived on scene and located combatants. The fight was over between combatants and both subjects didn t want to prosecute. One of the subjects however continued to yell across the alley at the other subject. He was asked several times by Officers to stop yelling and keep his voice down. He continued to yell and cause a disturbance. This subject was run through LEIN, and found to have a Felony Warrant out of Detroit for Armed Carjacking. The subject was taken into custody for Disorderly and DPD was notified.

Domestic F/A- 1- Arrest 09/16/2018 11:27am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. (Apartment Complex) Officers were dispatched to the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. to investigate Domestic situation. Officers arrived and interviewed the two combatants. Victim, female half states they were in their bedroom when an argument occurred. The argument was over the male half being with another women and victim wanting him to move out of the apartment. At some point during the argument the male half physically assaulted victim and pointed a handgun at victim and threatened her. The investigation was concluded and the male suspect was taken into custody.
