Chuck Ulbricht made a motion to approve the payment of $65,000.00 for the March payment to RCSCW and Mike Bannon seconded the motion. Vote carried unanimously. No abstaining votes. No nay votes. ARC building now has a phone number. It is 623-518-3226. President Clark informed the membership that on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Rec Center Workshop, he had presented a plan and request for the addition of a Paint and Prep Room to be added onto the existing John S. Chaney Building. Herb told the membership the ARC Board and Officers had voted to accept this proposal and to approve $200,000.00 for the estimated costs of the new building. P a g e 1 of 5

Steve Victor made the motion to approve the addition of a Paint and Prep Room to the John S. Chaney Building and to approve the amount of $200,000.00. Phil Corbell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously with no nay votes and no abstaining votes. President Clark wanted the membership to know that in less than one year the club has already repaid close to $600,000.00 of the original loan. The John S. Chaney Building was initially designed to accept additions easily. The Rec Center will vote on the building request March 25, 2016. If approved and, once the architect s drawings and permits are in place, Herb is optimistic about how quickly the building could be completed. Several members asked about when the showroom would be added. President Clark informed the club that at this time we are concentrating on the Paint and Prep Room addition but the Showroom is still on our wish list. Jerome Knudson proposed a motion for the club to approve the addition of the showroom now and Mike Bell seconded the motion. Jerome wanted the Rec Center to know that ARC is committed to having a building that meets all our requirements. Motion carried unanimously with no nay and no abstaining votes. President Clark said he had several requests from member to please ask that other members be aware that lotions, aftershaves and perfumes can cause health issues with members that have breathing problems and allergies to fragrances. President Clark introduced Brad Huber to the general membership. Herb said not everyone may know who Brad is and he felt Brad deserved to be recognized for all the hard work and time he has given to managing the preparation of the ARC Building. A BIG THANK YOU BRAD FROM THE CLUB! ARC ANGELS Randy Robinson sincerely thanked all of the members of ARC Angels that have helped serve the SCW Community with vehicle related questions and problems. The ARC Angels do not work on cars but will help with finding reputable merchants and repair shops for car needs. The ARC Angels will also help with car appraisals and have helped when a member of the community was charged more for a car purchase than was agreed upon. President Clark told the members we have received many wonderful thank you cards and calls for the ARC Angels services. Please direct the correspondence to Randy Robinson, Jackie Meyer, club secretary, and to Herb Clark. We would like to keep these kind notes for all to see and enjoy. ecarmony Bob Janis complimented the ARC Angels for the great job they are doing for the community but wanted to talk a little about how ecarmony is different. This is a service for our members provided by our members. If a member needs help with working on a car, or has questions about a repair or where to get the parts needed, or is thinking about the purchase of a car, they can use ecarmony. Contact Bob Janis and he will send out a request for help to club members. P a g e 2 of 5

Bob said at long last the ARC Building is about ready to open for business. The target date is April 1, 2016, if all goes as planned. Members must attend a Safety Course held at the building and read the Safety Manual that is on-line before they can bring their car or project to the building. Please sign up now and don t wait until you are ready to use the building to take the class. In addition to the Safety Class, members will need to be certified on the two and four post lifts as well as various tools and machinery. Classes for the lifts will be scheduled soon. There are a lot of members that will be interested in taking these classes so it may take some time to get everyone certified that wants to take the classes. Bob wanted the members to know that bricks that were ordered by them are starting to be installed. If you have a special place where you would like your brick placed, please come and have that space marked with the number on your brick. If you do not have a special spot in mind, the club will place your brick for you in Anna s Courtyard. Walt Jefferson and crew will start placing bricks April 1, 2016. When the showroom is added, the bricks will stay in place and be the showroom floor. BUY A BRICK The Buy a Brick special pricing will continue until May 1, 2016. Buy two of the 4 x 8 bricks and get a third 4 x 8 brick for half price, or buy one 8 x 8 brick and get the second 4 x 8 brick for half price. Please let any business know that might be interested in purchasing a brick that this would let everyone see their name and show their support for ARC. MEL MARTIN MUSEUM Herb Clark led a cruise in to the Mel Martin Museum on Friday March 11, 2016 to see the 1936 Ford Phaeton that Mr. Martin graciously donated to ARC. Herb said the car is in excellent condition and only a few repairs are needed to make it even better. The Phaeton needs a new top and minor upholstery repair. We will not raffle off the Phaeton. The club will have an appraisal done and set a price based on the appraisal. Club members will have first chance to meet the purchase price of the 1936 Ford Phaeton. The car will also be offered to museums for a set purchase price. If the Phaeton has not sold by then, it will be listed with a high end auction. ARC is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization so we are hoping the auction house will waive fees. President Clark said people have asked him why we are a 501(c)(3) club and Herb tells them because it is the right thing to do. President Clark feels we get more back from the community than we give. We support charitable car shows, Make-A-Wish foundation, and ARC Angels. Herb feels being a 501(c)(3) helps bring donations as they are all tax deductible. Herb wanted the club members to know that at last Friday s Rec Center Workshop, ARC received quite the compliment when one of the Board members wished other clubs could be more like ARC. Let s keep doing the right thing for ARC. P a g e 3 of 5
