CCCA Mid-Atlantic Sectional Conference In Christ Alone JANUARY 30 FEBRUARY 1, 2018 HOSTED AT: MID-ATLANTIC SECTION midatlantic.ccca.org
In Christ Alone The reason most of us are in Christian ministry is because we want people to experience the transforming work of Jesus Christ. By God s grace, that exact outcome transpires as people participate in our ministries. A challenge often arises, however, when the very thing we want for others is missing in ourselves. We would love rest, and freedom, and confidence, but life and ministry often seem to get in the way. With such a reality the norm for many Christian leaders, we are going to spend the three days allowing God to remind us of the profound difference Christ makes in our lives, even as leaders, when we put our trust in Him alone. How were your camper numbers this year? What about guest groups? How is that building project moving along? Are donations up? The value of a camp worker is not in the answers to these questions; it is in Christ Alone. Please join us in January at Tuscarora and I promise not to ask any of those questions. Rather I want to know how we can encourage you in your ministry of evangelism and discipleship in the camp setting. NEW THIS YEAR INTENSIVE LEARNING SESSIONS Be sure to check out the new two-hour educational sessions on Wednesday. The Board seminar is no more, but the intentional in-depth educational opportunity is now offered in four disciplines: Leadership, Program, Maintenance and Food Service. Check out the Workshop Grid for details. MIKE GEHLERT, President, Mid-Atlantic Section, CCCA
Speaker Rev. Chris Priestaf Pastor Chris Priestaf currently serves as lead pastor of Mount Bethel Church in Mount Bethel, PA. Originally a native of Dearborn, MI, Chris received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell where he met his future bride, Suzanne, whom he married soon after college and moved to Brooklyn, NY. He followed the Lord s leading to the outskirts of Boston where Chris began his Master of Divinity work at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Completing that degree in 2004, Chris accepted the call to serve at Mount Bethel Church where he and his family have been ever since. Chris and Suzy, now married for over 20 years, have three amazing girls: Kelsey (15), Liliana (13), and Addison (10). Worship Leader Randy Gehlert Randy and Megan Gehlert are returning for the third time to the CCCA regional conference. Randy has been the Music Director/Asst. to the Pastor at Christ Community Bible Church in Perkasie, PA for 17 years where he and his wife, Megan, often lead singing together.
