Scottish Parliament Fact sheet Parliamentary Business: Historical Series 10 January 2008 The following abbreviations have been used to indicate the different types of bill: C for a Committee Bill, for an xecutive Bill, for a ember's Bill and P for a Private Bill. All Acts of the Scottish Parliament appear on the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) website at the following link: www.opsi.gov.uk/legislation/scotland/s-acts.htm 1 A bill can be withdrawn the SP, Committee or inister who it. For example, an SP may choose to withdraw his or her ember s Bill because the Scottish xecutive introduces a bill legislating in the same area. 2 A bill can fall for a number of reasons. For example, the Parliament does not agree to the Bill s general principles at Stage 1 or the Bill is not passed before the end of the parliamentary session.
