Load bus. 6:45am Depart WKGS 2:45pm Depart Portsmouth on Brittany Ferries 9:30pm Arrive Caen 10:30pm- Arrive accommodation and straight to bed! Friday 20 th October: Visit to Arromanches 10:30am D-Day Landings Museum Visit to Bayeux E3 Trails activity pack around the town 3:15pm Visit to Bayeux Tapestry Evening meal at accommodation Group evening activities Saturday 21 st October: Visit to Honfleur Visit to Hypermarket 3pm Visit to Manoir d Apreval where the best apple juice in France is made. 6:30pm evening meal at accommodation 8:30pm depart accommodation 11pm Depart Caen on Brittany Ferries Sunday 22 nd October: 6:45am Arrive Portsmouth 2:00pm Arrive WKGS
What to bring (suitcase): Clothes: Comfortable travel clothes, such as joggers and a hoodie. Trousers/ leggings or dresses/ skirts Enough t-shirts or tops so you can change every day At least two warm jumpers/ hoodies or jackets A waterproof coat Underwear and spares! Pyjamas Really comfortable shoes trainers/boots Socks Something to wear in the hotel in the evening Cap Woolly hat and gloves Toiletries: Toothbrush and toothpaste Shampoo and conditioner Shower gel Sanitary products (even if you aren t expecting to use it) Make up, if you want it Deodorant or body spray Hairbrush and clips/bobbles Plasters or first aid kit At least one towel What to bring (hand luggage): MEDICATION TO BE GIVEN TO STAFF Entertainment: Phone (see further notes) and headphones Book to read Pens and paper Quiz or puzzle book Camera Cards Other items: Sunglasses Sweets/snacks Drink Chargers and plug adaptor PACKED LUNCH Purse with pocket money

Food and drink: Please bring a packed lunch for the journey to Portsmouth, remembering you will be eating on the coach. Nothing too messy! Ensure you have a drink for the journey too. An evening meal is provided on the ferry. All meals in France are provided. Dietary requirements have already been forwarded to the hotel. Breakfast is provided on the ferry home. You will need some sterling to buy lunch on the way back to WKGS. Pocket Money: There will be several chances to buy souvenirs, gifts and treats in France, as well as shopping opportunities on the ferry. We are recommending you bring pocket money of around 50, as all food, drink and visits are already paid for. Please change your own currency. You will also need some pounds to use at Services on the journey to and from the ferry. You can use pounds or euros on the ferry itself.
Behaviour expectations: By taking part in the visit I agree to the following: I will ensure that I listen to and follow all instructions given by my teachers I will make sure that I am with at least two other members of the group when free time is given I will treat the hotel staff, coach driver any all those on the trip with respect and take care not to cause any damage. Any damage caused will incur a charge to be covered by my parents/guardian. I agree to speak to a member of staff as soon as any incident occurs. If my hotel room has a balcony, I will not use it I will not buy, attempt to buy, consume or offer to others, cigarettes, alcohol or other illegal substances I understand that I may be sent back home without direct supervision from the nearest airport at the expense of my parents or guardian should I not adhere to these expectations. Mobile Phone Usage For safety reasons, trip participants may wish to take their mobile phones with them. If they do, the student s number should be noted below so staff members can contact students during downtime periods. Excessive usage of phones will be discouraged, not least because of the cost. 1. I agree to use my phone as a means of contacting staff in an emergency 2. I understand that phones can be used on the coach to listen to music, but this must be with ear/headphones and not to disrupt others. 3. I will not photograph members of the party without their consent 4. I will not use/play with my phone whilst staff are giving instructions 5. I will keep social media usage to a minimum 6. If there is an incident on the trip, I will not use my phone until instructed by Mrs Stenhouse 7. If I don t keep to the above, I understand my phone may be taken away and not returned until the end of the trip.

MOST IMPORTANT: Spare medication must be handed in to staff on the morning of departure. Passports and EHIC cards must be handed in as a matter of urgency to Mrs Stenhouse. Remember packed lunch and pounds for the journey. No access to main bags during the journey.
