Soléxico is a member of several international organizations, such as: FIYTO and ALTO, as well as MÉXICO SÍ (Mexican Association of Spanish Institutes), ASESEO (Spanish Schools Association of Oaxaca State), CANACO and SEP (National Board of Education) in Mexico. Soléxico Language and Cultural Centers provide students with the best opportunity to learn Spanish in a short period of time while being immersed in the Mexican culture. Our staff of professional Mexican teachers and our effective teaching methods, combined with our friendly approach to teaching Spanish, helps maximize the student s learning capabilities and makes learning a truly enjoyable experience.

The programs Soléxico provides students of all levels with intensive, interactive programs designed to meet the needs of each student. Courses begin each Monday year-round and consist of sessions of 50 minutes with breaks in between. Upon arrival, students are given placement exams to determine their Spanish levels. Super Intensive Program 25 (25 lessons per week) This program consists of classes with a maximum of 6 students per teacher. Courses are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and are composed of three lessons of conversational grammar and two lessons of practical conversation and/or lectures. Intensive Program 20 (20 lessons per week) This program consists of classes with a maximum of 6 students per teacher. Courses are held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are composed of three lessons of conversational grammar and two lessons of practical conversation and/or lectures. Part Time Program 15 (15 lessons per week) This program consists of classes with a maximum of 6 students per teacher. Courses are held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and are composed of three lessons of conversational grammar. Best of Both 25 (15 individual lessons + 10 group lessons per week) This is an accelerated, personalized program that consists of three lessons of individual instruction and two hours of conversation and lectures in groups with no more than 6 students per teacher. The individual instruction is offered in the afternoon. Executive Program 40 (25 group lessons + 15 individual lessons per week) Students in the executive program receive three hours of intensive, one on one instruction in addition to the five-hour course of our Super Intensive Program. Professional Programs 25 (15 General Spanish Group lessons + 10 Professional field Individual lessons per week) These special programs were designed for those who interact with Spanish speakers in their professional fields. Courses are held from 9am to 2pm from Monday through Friday. It is possible to add one individual lesson per day to any of these programs. The programs we offer are: Spanish for Medical Services Spanish for Business Spanish for the Tourism Industry Spanish for Law Enforcement Our teachers Educators of Spanish as a Second Language Program 25 Soléxico s staff of professional Mexican teachers, (10 General Spanish Group lessons + 15 Spanish Educators individual lessons per week) This program combines a general Spanish conversation program in groups of no more than 5 students with 15 individual lessons for Educators of Spanish as a Second Language and is held from 12:20 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. specially trained to maximize the students learning with more than 15 years of teaching experience, is potentials. Soléxico Playa del Carmen a center for learning Soléxico Playa del Carmen, located just six blocks from the white sand beaches, is designed specifically for our programs in the typical Caribbean style. This open architecture creates a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that encourages intensive learning. Due to the area s year-round temperate climate, classes take place under thatched roof learning areas surrounded by tropical gardens. In addition to our excellent programs, beautiful setting and professional staff, Soléxico offers a library stocked with books on grammar, the Mayan culture, religion and travel in Mexico, and many other publications. The open aired and air conditioned conference rooms are ideal for guitar and salsa classes, and our weekly gatherings. Soléxico also has a cafeteria, volleyball court and garden areas for students to relax during breaks or after a day of classes.

The right place to learn Playa del Carmen is located in the center of Mexico s Riviera Maya in the state of Quintana Roo. In the heart of the Yucatan Peninsula, this small city is approximately 40 minutes from Cancun s international airport and 30 minutes from Tulum. Playa del Carmen attracts people from all over the world because of its relaxed, tropical atmosphere and its unmatched beautiful beaches. La Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue), the zone s main artery, is filled with gastronomic and entertainment options, together with numerous shops and boutiques, all of which make this an obligatory meeting-place after several hours spent on the beach or on an excursion trip, prolonging the activity in Playa until dawn. Playa, with its 100,000 permanent residents, is a great place to enjoy the cultural and historic richness of Mexico and the Mayan people. Transportation We offer transportation from and to Cancun s international airport. Students are taken from the airport directly to their homes or hotels in Playa del Carmen. Excursions With Playa s great location, our students can enjoy a great variety of activities that enhance their knowledge of the Mexican culture. These excursions and social activities are educational and entertaining. We offer around 16 different excursions year-round. Following are some of the excursions we offer: One day excursions Tulum and Xel-ha Students visit the only ancient Mayan center built beside the sea and snorkel in a natural marine park. Coba (Mayan encounter) Students visit and impressive Mayan center imbedded in the jungle and go swimming and snorkeling in one of the most beautiful Cenotes in the region. Sian-ka an Students take a tour through a huge natural biosphere where they can see many endangered species and crocodiles. Xcaret Students go to a natural Mexican theme park where they can swim with dolphins, visit an aviary, enjoy a Mayan show and the Mexican Folkloric Ballet. Chichen-Itza and Cenote Ikkil Students visit one of the most important Mayan centers, now known as one of the 7 modern wonders of the world, swim in a amazing Cenote and visit the Colonial town of Valladolid.

Soléxico Oaxaca a center for learning Soléxico Oaxaca is located in the heart of Oaxaca s Historical Center, two blocks from the beautiful Santo Domingo ex-convent and 4 blocks from Oaxaca s Zocalo (downtown square). Due to the Center s location, students are surrounded by a number of cafes, art galleries, museums, shops and internet cafes. The center is set in a typical colonial building with a large main patio where students get together during the breaks. This old style construction with thick colonial walls keeps the classrooms cool throughout the year.

The ideal place to learn The city of Oaxaca, located in the central valley of the state, is surrounded by the states of Puebla, Veracruz and Chiapas and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. With its ethnic, cultural and historic richness, Oaxaca is an ideal place to experience the beauty of Mexico and its people. Due to Oaxaca s appreciation for ancestral traditions and its colonial architecture, UNESCO has named the city a patrimony of humanity. Oaxaca is known for its creative, talented artists and many different types of artisans. Activities Students can take part in other activities, such as trips to neighboring towns, visits to archaeological zones, mountain biking tours, rappelling, hiking, rock climbing and paragliding. The cost of the excursions and activities is not included in academic expenses. Volunteer Program Soléxico Oaxaca offers students the option to participate in one of our selected volunteer activities. We have visited each of the sites located in the city of Oaxaca to meet the administrators of the programs and to know the sites personally. Soléxico Puerto Vallarta a center for learning Soléxico Puerto Vallarta is located two blocks from the Pacific Ocean in the heart of downtown. Surrounded by Vallarta s beautiful colonial buildings and charming city streets, our campus is also near restaurants, cafes, stores and nightspots. Our building shows off the typical architecture of Puerto Vallarta and, like our other campuses, has a large café in a nice open terrace that is used for salsa classes, fiestas and as the meeting point for students during the breaks. Solexico s offices and classrooms are decorated in the same Vallarta style as the exterior. There is also a conference room in which movies in Spanish and cultural lectures will be given. An internet area and wireless connection are also available at the center.

Soléxico Guanajuato a center for learning Soléxico Guanajuato is located right in the city center in the barrio Pastita at only 10 minutes walking from the Teatro Júarez. Our brightly colored school building easily accommodates 110 students in its 15 comfortable classrooms. There is also an open-air terrace where you can take breaks and meet with other students after classes, an inside courtyard, a multimedia classroom with free internet access (plus Wi-Fi access from all points of the building), recreation area full equipped with TV, DVD, Hi-Fi, library and games, a teachers lounge and a student office.

The ideal place to learn Guanajuato, capital of the Guanajuato State, with an altitude of 6,583 ft (2,008 m), is a historical and picturesque town of agreeable little plazas and stair-lined streets, pastelcolored facades, balconies trimmed with iron work, and charming flower-filled window boxes. Guanajuato is the ideal spot in Mexico to study Spanish, as it is a small and quiet university city that s far from the tourist crowds of Cancun or Cuernavaca. Volunteer Program Soléxico Guanajuato offers students the option to participate in one of our selected volunteer activities. We have visited each of the sites located in the city of Guanajuato to meet the administrators of the programs and to know the sites personally. You can opt for either a social or an educational voluntary placement. Volunteers working in the social sector will be placed in one of the following organizations: Sistema Municipal para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia Albergue contra la Violencia Domestica Refugio para Ancianos Casa Hogar del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Those who choose the educational sector can expect to be working in one of the following: Universidad de Guanajuato in two departments - the language school and the physical education department. Festival Internacional Cervantino as a committee organizer. Benito Juarez Secondary School Volunteers will carry out administrative tasks, help students with their foreign language studies and contribute to events management.
