International conference on sustainable mobility, industry and innovation 12-13 October 2016 Bellinzona, Switzerland The Competence centre msfi, together with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and in cooperation with the City of Bellinzona, the Swiss Federal Railways SBB and the Regional Economic Development Body Bellinzonese e Valli (ERS-BV) announces the organization of MobLab16 in Bellinzona, Switzerland, from October 12th to October 13th, 2016. www.moblab-conference.ch

The 1st International Conference on Sustainable Mobility, Industry and Innovation (MobLab16) will be held in Bellinzona, Switzerland from October 12-13, 2016, and I look forward to a successful event thanks to the support of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) in cooperation with the City of Bellinzona, the Swiss Federal Railways SBB and the Regional Economic Development Body Bellinzonese e Valli (ERS-BV). At the first operational meeting of msfi in Bellinzona, the board accepted the proposal of the Management to establish and create this conference with focus on the fields of Sustainable Mobility and Railways. With a robust committee in place, we will have sessions ranging across the spectrum of mobility, industry, innovation and sustainability. Industrial systems and maintenance, connectivity and artificial intelligence, economic and environmental impacts are only some of the major themes within the Conference. We will have updates on our understanding of the future of mobility. At the end of this Conference, we hope that attendees feel that they have garnered the most up-to-date information available in mobility, railways and innovation. The Conference will include keynote speakers, plenary sessions and social events to enable and encourage open discussions of the attendees. A small exhibit will present the latest information and provide new insights into the current state of the field. Looking forward to welcoming you to Bellinzona! Simone Bernasconi MobLab16, Conference President

Conference Moblab16 The Leitmotif of the conference can be summarized as follow: Traveling hand-in-hand with the future: from space journeys to personal assisted mobility. In other words, we want to start the journey with you showing the possibilities that space travel will make true. The journey will then develop towards earth with suborbital flights, air travel and drones. We will then get to the ground and focus on sea travel, railways and public transportation. We will then continue with the personal transportation (cars, motorbike and scooters) and to the last mile with new alternative means of connecting people. At last we want to show you some innovation in regards to the human being and his interaction with technology. All this with a blink of an eye towards industry, innovation and technologies needed to perform the relevant task and service.
