EENA WALL TENTS We originally built these tents to meet the needs of Oregon elk hunters where severe weather and heavy snow loads are encountered. There is no more time honored, tried and proven design than the wall tent and EENA is the best available. All EENA tents are made of heavy-duty 10 oz. per square yard breathable, 100% cotton EENA Cloth, with a Marine finish made to our specs. This makes it extremely water repellent and mildew resistant. It is pre-shrunk and tightly woven for good heat retention and has high strength to weight ratio. This is by far the best material for the money that we have found in our over forty years of making tents, and we have no intentions of changing. Available in colored light marine green or white which ever you prefer. Heavy duty 7 nylon zippers at each end. Spur grommets used throughout. Properly reinforced (the best engineered tent on the market) at all points of strain, with no problem-causing fluff or nonsense to add cost. Like all wall tents, EENA s are best pitched with an A-frame of locally cut poles, however, pole sets are listed elsewhere in this catalog. Also available are pegs, rope sets, sod cloth, stove pipe holes, and windows. Sorry, sewn in floors are not available in these tents. As all EENA tents are made only to order, please allow us plenty of time to make one for you. WHAT S AN EENA? When we were looking for a name for our tents we wanted a name that would be northwestern, a name that would speak of the natives, the trees, the lakes, and the streams of our beautiful country. A name that would tell of craftsmanship and tradition, of rugged durability and perseverence over the elements. We thought about it a long time and then one Friday after work at our usual suds sipping session somebody said why not call them EENA? Hey great, we all said! What s an EENA? Long before the white man came, the tribes of the northwest spoke a common trade language called the Chinook Jargon. In this jargon the word for beaver, the critter most responsible for settling the NW and long known for his skill and craftsmanship in building lodges and enhancing his environment, is EENA. And so our tents were named and the discussion was closed and we all got down to some serious drinking. RIDGE POLE This Ridge Pole is really all you need to set up your wall tent under the worst weather conditions. These are the most easily transported set we ve seen. However, a Florida customer who regularly camps in the everglades seems to disagree. We designed these screen fronts for him. Since they have proven so popular, we ve put them in the catalog. They are made of poly no-see-um screen with nylon zippers. They are attached to the tent by nylon tie tapes, around the ridge pole and the webbing loops in the corners. They have a sod cloth and peg loops across the bottom. They tie out of the way when not being used or easily come out and stay home if they re not needed. MINER STYLE Once popular with the Klondikers and 49ers, it is now a favorite with river runners and outfitters. The easiest of all our tents to put up. It has a biscuit warming, sock drying shelf that braces the legs and keeps most of the heat off the tent floor. It packs inside the stove.
