INTRODUCTION 1.1 Based on the Terms of reference of the MID ATS Route Network Task Force identify requirements and improvements for achieving and maintaining an efficient route network in the MID Region ATS Routes should be updating accordingly with coordination with concern states. 2. DISCUSSION 2.1 After reviewing ICAO Doc Annex 11, Appendix 1:Principles governing the identification of Navigation Specification and identification of ATS routes other than standard departure and arrival routes. 2.2 The proposed ATS routes for re-designation are shown in the proposal for Amendment as at Appendix A this working paper; 2.3 Selection of the designator shall be made from these letters: L, M, N, P. 2.4 The main objective is to deliver a harmonized implementation of RNAV 5 in the region. Therefore, there is a need for ARN TF to adopt re-designation to those ATS routes where navigation performance accuracy requirements have been specified, with the appropriate designators. 3. ACTION BY THE MEETING 3.1 The meeting is invited to: a) Involved states to provide any comments and/or suggestions to the contents of this paper; b) ICAO to allocate appropriate designators to the proposed routes above; and c) Update MID BASIC ANP ATS Route Table 1 as necessary
