While attending the Pick Up Rally you will: Pick up your volunteer uniform, accreditation badge, volunteer pin, volunteer handbook and Opening Reception & SaskEnergy Volunteer Appreciation Ticket. Meet your volunteer Director and ask questions PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO EXCHANGES on uniform sizes. ******PLEASE BRING GOVERNEMENT ISSUED ID TO COLLECT YOUR ACCREDITATION****** CAN T MAKE IT? If you are not able to attend the pick up rally on Sunday, don t worry! You can come down to the Brandt Centre West Entrance Tuesday, February 6 th between 5:30pm 7:30pm OR Thursday, February 8 th between 5:30pm 7:30pm If these dates do not work for you or you live outside of the Regina area, it is not necessary for you to travel. All of your volunteer items can be picked up 30 minutes before your first shift at the accreditation desk in the Brandt Centre - downstairs at the south side Players Entrance. You can have someone pick up your uniform for you but not your accreditation. You will need to pick it up in person with ID at the accreditation desk before your first shift.
Volunteers are invited to join sponsors, dignitaries, media and teams in kicking off the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier at the Opening Banquet and SaskEnergy Volunteer Appreciation! Friday, March 2nd In The Patch - International Trade Centre Doors open at 6:00PM Dress Casual or Volunteer Uniform Team Introductions 7:00PM Appetizers and Cash Bar You will need your Volunteer Accreditation to get in. This is an exclusive, invitation only event - guests are not permitted. RSVP s are not required. 2
Q: When will I know my work schedule? A: Directors are working on scheduling in January and should have schedules ready by the uniform pick up event February 4 th. Contact your Director as soon as possible if you have any restrictions or requests. Q: How do I access my schedule? A: Your Director will email you when your schedule is ready with a link. to enter your email address and have your schedule emailed to you. Q: What do I wear with my volunteer uniform shirt and jacket? A: Please wear good condition black pants of your choice; black jeans are fine, not blue. You can wear a long sleeve shirt under your uniform golf shirt. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes. There is no secure place to leave personal belongings so carry what you need with you. Do not leave personal items in unattended areas. Q: Are volunteers allowed into the Patch while not on shift? A: Your volunteer accreditation gets you access to the Patch but must not be worn inside so we know you aren t on shift. Alcohol consumption while volunteering is prohibited. Access is always based on capacity. Q: Is there a designated Volunteer Parking area? A: There is plenty of free parking at Evraz Place and it is first come, first serve. There is no designate parking for volunteers. Q: Is there an orientation or training session? A: There is not a general orientation meeting for volunteers. You will receive a Volunteer Handbook when you pick up your uniform that will have all the information you need. Read your handbook and carry it with you as a reference at the event. Your Director will inform you if your area requires any special training sessions. Q: Is there a Brier Shuttle Bus? A: Yes!!
