LIONS DISTRICT 4-C1 59 th Annual Convention Jamie Hart District Governor 2016-2017 April 21 April 23, 2017 Gaia Hotel Anderson, California

59 th Annual Convention Program Welcome to the Gaia Hotel in beautiful Redding, California and the District 4-C1 59 th Annual Convention. The Gaia staff and the convention committee have worked hard to make this an event you will enjoy and remember. Each morning the hotel provides a full breakfast for registered guests. Friday morning starts off with our annual golf tournament, and our second annual Walk-A-Thon benefiting projects of the District 4-C1 Health Foundation. Later in the day the Convention will officially open, followed by hospitality and the Food Fair. The Earth Day themed Food Fair is a costume event with prizes for best dressed and best booth and special entertainment. On Saturday, the parade of banners will be followed by a business session, guest speakers, a district-wide hands-on service project and lunch. Don t miss the Area Student Speaker Contest on Saturday afternoon. Join us Saturday evening for the Governor s Banquet, presentation of district awards and, of course, there is the Life After Dinner interactive trivia competition. Sunday morning will begin with a memorial service and our annual election. The final Convention session will culminate with announcement of election results and a raffle. I want to thank the entire convention committee for all of their hard work and effort. It s no easy job to produce our convention and it requires many hours of work. On behalf of District 4-C1, I invite you to have fun, renew old friendships, make new ones and get involved in Lionism.
