In 1966, George and Rose started a small family engineering business, 50 years on it is still at the heart of today s Arada. Since their creation, our stoves have had the authenticity you d expect from a company rooted in rural Devon. Choose a stove that is perfectly designed for the British home and your way of life. Feel the warmth Output The most important consideration when purchasing a stove is the required output to heat the room it will be placed within. As a very rough guide, measure the room and multiply width x depth x height (in metres), and then divide this by 14. This will provide the average heating requirements for the room in kilowatts. e.g. For a room measuring 4.9m x 4.9m x 2.4m, multiply these together and then divide by 14. This makes a 4.1kW output. Freestanding or Inset Our freestanding stoves offer the most versatile heating solution, perfect for all spaces. Alternatively, you could opt for an inset stove model, designed to replace an open fire utilising an existing fireplace. Fuel All of our Hamlet stoves are multi fuel, giving you the freedom to choose between burning solid fuel or wood. For those living in UK Smoke Control Areas, we also offer our dedicated DEFRA exempt stove.
