President: Brad Hilton 315-480-5104 Secretary: Leslie Waters 315-243-6058 Treasurer: Claudia Gamble 315-298-4829 June 2018 You Must Be An Oswego Co. ATV Club Member To Ride The s! No Exceptions!! Helmet On...Lights On...Ride On! Meeting Highlights & Other News: May's meeting was held at Grist Mill Restaurant, Parish. There were 89+ in attendance. Thank you to all new members who showed up. Thanks to Dave Chapman & the Grist Mill for hosting us and providing the group with coffee! Once again, we can't stress this enough, you MUST wear a helmet at all times while riding in/on any type of machine! Including any passengers. First and foremost, this is a club rule, if you get caught riding without a helmet, you will be asked to leave the trail. Also, this is a New York State Traffic Safety Law, you will get a ticket. ****There are a lot of places that still need a lot of work, are closed, blocked off, etc. Please use common sense when out riding, pay attention to your surroundings, stay on the trails, follow all signs, don't go around mud holes this makes them bigger and requires more work to fix, do not remove anything used to block a trail ie: orange fencing, ribbon, tape, logs, gates, etc., they are there for a reason...safety! **Volunteers and donations needed for a benefit taking place on July 7 th, noon 6:30pm, Kasoag Lake Inn, Williamstown Let's help out one of our own... BERT CRONK** Bert was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatments. He has a ways to go and this benefit will help him immensely. Bert is one of the founders of Oswego County ATV Club, worked tirelessly out on the trails, designed and implemented the campground that many stay at and enjoy every summer, helped out at functions, plus all the other stuff he had to take care of outside of club things, work, family, etc. Bert is part of all of our families, if you are in the club, you are family. Since family helps family, let's do what we can to help Bert! See flier below In need of: Raffle items, baked goods, set up and clean up crews, raffle ticket sellers, 50/50 raffle sellers, etc. if you can help, call... Mary Gaffey 315-298-5444 for more info. Lottery Tickets are needed for a board, if you would like to donate lottery tickets, please mail to: Jen Pieropan 258 Parish Woods Rd, Parish NY 13131 or to the club address above Attn. Jen 50/50 winner Lyn Beadle $73, Lyn donated the money to Bert, Thank you Lyn!!! The remainder of the 50/50 was given to Bert as well. Thank you everyone!! *The treasurers report is always available for any one to view, at any time. There is nothing kept secret. You can obtain a copy at each monthly meeting or directly from Claudia. Please contact her if you need a copy.

Club rule, NYS Traffic Safety Law Hess and the Railroad Bed will be marked with signs for a 10mph speed limit. This will be monitored. The following trails are currently closed: Yamaha (unknown time frame, at landowners request, sap business, safety concerns),pavilion Rd (closed at owners request, there was a lot of damage done in an area where riders should have not been) and Orwell (from Stone Quarry Rd to Co Rte 2 (bridge is out). STAY ON THE TRAILS! If you have signed up to do trail work, please call the trail boss for whatever day of the week you are interested in. It is up to you to contact them. They need all the help they can get. If there is a trail marked closed and it has ribbon, signs, gates or any other such things, then the trail is closed. Do Not go around. It may be closed do to a hazard, issue with a landowner, hunting (if there is at the time) or many other things. We have trails that open and close at different times throughout the riding season.
