Schuylkill Haven Island Park welcomes paddlers to the 20th Annual Schuylkill River Sojourn as they begin registering at 4 p.m. Special for the 20th anniversary, the Island Park Committee will host a Rock the Island celebration, featuring live music. 4:00-8:00 p.m. The coal fired steam Locomotive 113 will be on site from 4-8 pm allowing sojourners to climb aboard and information will be available from Bob Kimmel, President of Railway Restoration Project 113. Camping at Schuylkill Haven Island Park. Sojourners leaving their cars in Schuylkill Haven during the entire Sojourn or until Sunday evening should park their cars at the Schuylkill Haven Senior Center on Haven Street (see map on page 2). Sojourners shuttling their car to Port Clinton Saturday evening can park at Island Park.
