REPORTS: FRIDAY MORNINGS AT LEICHHARDT LIBRARY Presenter, Les Miller at age 23 (around 50 years ago) travelled to Antarctica on the Nella Dan as a Radio Technician with a Scientific team from Australia. His adventures over a period of 15 months took him to some remote areas, flying in conditions most of us would label scary. These couple of pictures to prove how challenging Antarctica can be for small aircraft (1) and of the inquisitiveness of the penguin population (2). 1

The U3A brand values have been assigned a colour which has a metaphorical or psychological association with its linked quality which are: SHARING (kingfisher blue), GROWING (green), SOCIALISING (yellow) and PASSION (red). This visual representation of ideals reinforces the personality of the brand and communicates with the observer at a subconscious level. The represented qualities and the colours work in harmony to exhibit a balanced and inviting culture which should be seen to permeate Sydney U3A at every level of encounter. * *Source: SYDNEY U3A BRAND GUIDELINES developed for Sydney U3A by ALIGN STUDIO 26 October 2015 CIWU3A 2018 5
