As the largest professional travel show in Asia,CITM has drawn the attention of people in the tourism industry worldwide. BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO CITM 2012 The exhibition area of the CITM 2012 reached 57,500 sq m; the exhibition booths totaled 2,514; and 104 countries and regions in the world participated in the travel mart. All these figures are higher than those of the CITM 2010 held in Shanghai. The Chinese exhibition booths numbered 1,582, and the number of the international and overseas exhibition booths increased by a large margin, reaching 932. Over 1,200 buyers and buyers at their own expenses from about 40 countries and regions, such as Russia, the United States and the European countries, attended various negotiation activities. The industry categories of the exhibitors continued to develop towards diversification, and the industry coverage further expanded. The exhibitors came from the government tourism agencies, travel services, hotels, tourism and scenic spots, airlines, pleasure ships, tourism websites and booking systems. Shanghai Municipality, the host, organized a large exhibition delegation to participate in the travel mart and set up 80 exhibition booths, which covered an area of 720 sq m, ranking first in the scale and the number of exhibition booths of all the provinces, autonomous regions and centrally administered municipalities in China. The domestic and foreign tourism-related sectors attached great importance to the CITM 2012. The leaders of the China National Tourism Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People s Government attended the relevant activities during the CITM 2012. Over 50 VIPs from 20 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the relevant activities, such as Russia, North Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Czech, Macedonia, Cameroon, Mexico, Bahamas, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, the Cook Islands, the Pacific Asia Travel Association, the South Pacific Tourism Organization, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The annual China International Travel Mart has become an important platform for domestic and foreign tourism departments and tourism circles to conduct exchanges and cooperation. To further expand the CITM influence and build a better exchange and trade platform for domestic and foreign tourism communities, the Organizing Committee of the CITM 2012 made special arrangements as follows: First, strengthening the media publicity. The CITM 2012 invited the journalists from over 200 mass media, such as CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People s Daily, Central People s Broadcasting Station, China Radio International, and China Tourism News, to cover the news during the travel mart. Meanwhile, to bring into full play the publicity influence of new media, the journalists of some network media, such as the China Travel Net, Xinhua Net, CCTV Net and Tencent Net, made on-site video interviews with the leaders of the domestic and foreign tourism administrative departments and tourism enterprises, and timely made public the information on the CITM 2012 and the closing ceremony of the China- Russia Tourism Year through the portals, social intercourse media, [03]

microblogs, Wechat and other interaction platforms to conduct real-time interactions with netizens. Second, encouraging regional cooperation and joint promotion. The Organizing Committee of the CITM 2012 spared no effort to coordinate the joint promotion between localities and enterprises, between enterprises and between localities and offer good services, aiming to develop and promote the joint tourism market. For instance, on the basis of their own exhibition booths, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui jointly set up the Exhibition Booth of the Yangtze River Delta with an area of 300 sq km in the No. 1 Exhibition Hall for joint promotion. Third, continuing to give priority to trading functions and stress the combination of exhibitions and marketing. Combining exhibitions with marketing was the new content promoted by the previous travel mart. The CITM 2012 continued to propel this content by encouraging all the provinces, autonomous regions and centrally administered municipalities to offer preferential and discount sales for tourism products. Meanwhile, the Organizing Committee also chose through public appraisal the Sales Innovation Award, commending and encouraging the provinces and tourism enterprises with outstanding sales achievements. Fourth, offering venues for all the exhibitors to hold press conferences and product representations free of charge. To provide better service to exhibitors, the Organizing Committee prepares the venues for domestic and foreign exhibitors to hold press conferences every year. 32 press conferences and product representations were held at the meeting halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Fifth, bringing into full play the principal role of enterprises. 1. having a good command of enterprises demands. The Organizing Committee required the tourism bureaus of all the provinces, autonomous regions and centrally administered municipalities to have a good command of the exhibitors demands and strengthen their organizational efforts. 2. setting up the platforms for enterprises to conduct exchanges, and creating better exchange platforms for the exhibitors in terms of the distribution of booths, indications of booths, consulting service, noise control and financial, industrial and commercial services. 3. strengthening the appraisal supervision. The Organizing Committee supervised the organizational efforts and exhibition set-up of the exhibitors, and the actual effects of negotiations. [04]

REGULATIONS ON PARTICIPATING [Organizer and Manager] The exhibition is organized by the CITM Organizing Committee, and the CITM Secretariat, as the permanent working body of the Committee, is in charge of the organization and management. [Qualification for Participating in the Exhibition] Upon receiving the application and full payment of the participation cost for the CITM 2013, the CITM Secretariat will issue a notice in written form to confirm your qualification as an exhibitor, and the Exhibitor Service Manual, Confirmation Letter on Exhibition Booths and Map of the Exhibition Booths will be mailed to you too. [Exhibition Booths] 1. Allocation - Booth/space will be allocated at the CITM Secretariat s full discretion in registration sequence, reservation of booth areas and request of exhibitors. The Secretariat has the right to change the allocation of booths of exhibitors. 2. Booth Construction A. The construction of a raw-space booth can only be carried out by the Official Construction Contractor designated by the CITM Organizing Committee or a construction company designated by the exhibitor. If an exhibitor selects an outside construction company, booth construction work cannot be carried out unless the construction has been approved by the CITM Secretariat and a security deposit in an amount of RMB10,000 yuan has been made to the CITM Secretariat. B. If an exhibitor renting a shell scheme booth wants to decorate it, the decoration must be carried out by the Official Construction Contractor designated by the CITM. 3. Rent A. Standard Shell Scheme Booth (RMB 19,100 yuan/booth) Each standard shell scheme booth covers an area of nine sq m (3 m x 3 m). An exhibitor shall rent a booth at least. Each booth is only allowed to be used by one unit, including four exhibitor passes. Each booth contains four chairs, one table for business talks, one consulting table, one fascia board, carpets, two spot lights, a wastepaper basket and a power socket. B. Raw Space (RMB 17,200 yuan/9 sq m) a) A space-only site covers an area of nine sq m, and an exhibitor shall rent four space-only sites (36 sq m) at least. Each stand (nine sq m) is only allowed to be used by one exhibitor, including four exhibitor passes. b) An exhibitor that shall rent a space-only site to build a two-story booth must pay the additional fee: the area of the second story x (the price of the space-only site per sq m 2). The exhibitor shall pay the fee after the Secretariat issues the demand note upon the approval of its design drawing. An exhibitor shall not share a booth with other exhibitors or transfer a booth to others without permission of the Organizing Committee. [Exhibitors] 1. Each shell scheme booth shall be entitled to have four delegates at most. 2. Those who have no booth/space shall not be admitted to CITM 2013 without permission of the CITM Secretariat. 3. Each exhibition booth (nine sq m) is only allowed to be used by one exhibitor, including four exhibitor passes. [Preferential Clause] 1. Those who apply for the exhibition and pay the lump sum before May 30, 2013 can enjoy a reduction of RMB700 yuan for every 9 sq m(both payment eligibility and exchange rate are based on the date of bank remittance). 2. Those who apply for 10 or over 10 booths can enjoy the preferential treatment of rent 10 booths, get one free. [Cancellation and Refund] 1. Cancellation must be made in a written notice to the CITM Secretariat before July 30, 2013. 2. A cancellation fee, 20 percent of the total amount, shall be deducted. 3. Refund shall not be made to those whose application for cancellation is received on or after July 30, 2013 (based on the postmark/fax), or to those who fail to show at the CITM 2013. 4. Service charges of bank transferring will be reduced out of the refund. All refunds will be made after November 30, 2013. [Security] All exhibitors are required to strictly abide by the laws, rules and regulations on fire, security and health issued by the state and the local governments, the CITM Secretariat, the official construction contractor, and the owner of the exhibition hall. [Risks and Liabilities] The CITM Organizing Committee shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the exhibitor s property caused by any reason whatsoever or for lost shipments during transportation. [Remarks] 1. The CITM Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify any exhibitor whose status is incompatible with the application and registration, and the relevant fees shall not be refunded. 2. The CITM Secretariat has the right to disqualify any exhibitor who violates the above-mentioned rules and regulations, and terminate its participation. 3. The CITM Secretariat reserves the right to revise these regulations at any time and work out new regulations according to the actual preparation work. 4. BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE VENUE OF THE CITM 2013 Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center is located in Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province, which boasts spring-like climate all the year round. Thanks to its favorable geographical location that borders on Kunming International Airport on the south and Kunming Railway Station on the east, the Center has extremely convenient traffic accessibility. Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center covers an area of 225,000 m 2. The 100,000 m 2 indoor exhibition area of the Center includes 7 single-story, large-span and column-free exhibition halls, the gross floor space of which has added up to 50,000 m 2.
