Knights of Columbus 93rd Annual Convention The South Carolina Knights of Columbus State Council issues a CALL TO CONVENTION. The annual meeting of the will be held on April 25 27, 2014 at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resorts in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Districts 3 and 11, will host the 93rd State Convention. These local councils, in conjunction with the State Council, are planning a fun filled, exciting, and informative weekend for everyone! This is a great opportunity for each brother Knight and his family to join with other knights and their family around the state, to meet new knights who have joined us, and to experience the excitement, fraternity, and gala that is associated with your annual state convention. Delegate Information (To be completed by Grand Knight prior to March 23, 2014) Enclosure 4 The certificate below must be completed and returned to the State Secretary prior to March 23, 2014, in order for your delegates to be seated during the Convention. Any changes made to the delegates or alternates must be known to the State Secretary prior to the opening of the business meeting, so that the Credentials Committee may certify them. Each local council in good standing is entitled to two (2) delegates to the State Convention, namely the current Grand Knight and one duly elected Past Grand Knight. Councils should also elect two (2) alternate delegates. Please Note: Councils that owe per capita either to the State or Supreme are not in good standing and accordingly, their delegates will not be eligible to vote on any matters that come before the Convention. Therefore, please make certain that all per capita taxes and insurance billed to your Council have been paid, by checking with the State Treasurer. Knights of Columbus 2014 State Convention Saturday, April 26, Ladies Activity Enclosure 10 Dear Ladies, Following the delightful Ladies Luncheon hosted by our South Carolina Knights of Columbus First Lady, Loretta Gabriel, we have a wonderful tour planned. We will meet in the hotel lobby and car pool to La Belle Aime Vineyard in Little River. After the vineyard tour we ll proceed into the beautiful gift shop for a wine tasting. You can choose to taste several superb wines from their extensive collection. Weather permitting there will be outside entertainment. The vineyard tour will be lots of fun for all. The cost for the tour and wine tasting is only $5.00. We hope this activity will add to your enjoyable weekend. 2014 Convention Shirts and Hats Enclosure 11 This year s Convention shirt has a matching hat. The Royal Blue shirt and hat have the Knights of Columbus logo and the phrase Catholic Pride on the breast of the shirt and on the side of the hat. The cost of the shirt is $30 and the hat cost $15. If you buy the combination package the cost is $40. Place your orders early. Fill out the order form and give it to your Grand Knight who will forward it to your District Deputy. South Carolina Knights of Columbus 2014 State Convention Myrtle Beach Hilton Hotel Men s Lunch The Convention Men s Lunch will be in the Atlantic View II Restaurant. Lunch time will be after the morning meeting from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm. This will be a buffet prepared especially for you. Tickets will be required as you enter for your meal. Ticket prices are $26.00 each, which includes taxes and gratuities. Advance ticket purchases are required and can be ordered from the names listed below. Tickets are also available with the purchase of a Convention Magazine Ad for your Council or District. (Please see the Program Advertising Rate sheet in this program for details.)
