Symposium on GPS/ GNSS IGNSS 2013 Registration Brochure Proudly sponsored by 16 18 July 2013 Outrigger Hotel Surfers Paradise, Qld, Australia ABN 50 493 173 615 www.ignss.org

Invitation from the President It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the IGNSS2013 symposium and exhibition, being held from 16-18 July, 2013 at the Outrigger Hotel, Gold Coast, Australia. The Multi-GNSS era is finally underway with more and more satellites from China, Europe, India and Japan joining those from the USA and Russia. Australia is one of the first countries in the world able to benefit from access to all of these systems. So down under in July is the ideal place and time to discuss all of these new developments with like-minded colleagues from all over the world. For 2013 we are basing the first day of our IGNSS symposium on the recently released Australian Strategic Plan for GNSS, which identified several issues crucial for Australia and the region as we enter the Multi-GNSS era. That will involve keynote speakers from Australia and abroad in presentations and panel discussions on issues such as ensuring leadership for the GNSS community, developing sustainable positioning infrastructure, mitigating GNSS vulnerabilities and capitalising on the region s unique geopolitical advantage in Multi-GNSS. The broader symposium will provide our usual strong scientific program with oral presentations, panel discussions and interactive poster sessions; all rounded out by a comprehensive trade exhibition. There will, of course, also be social functions to allow you to unwind as you network with your local and international colleagues. On behalf of the International Global Navigation Satellite Systems (IGNSS) Society and the organising committee, I look forward to welcoming you to IGNSS 2013. Matt Higgins, President, IGNSS Society Inc. IGNSS Technical Advisory Committee Matt Higgins is Manager of Geodesy and Positioning in the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management.
