Petrush VP/Membership Thanks to Becky and Jan for getting chris.petrush@yahoo.com everything set up and to Russ for helping with clean up afterwards! Please forgive me if I left any other helpers names out. This has been a fun tradition that the club has upheld for many years! Lets see, we have the Murphy's Run coming up this month, and for you new members, this is a run that the Dallons, Cyester's, and Williams host every year in September. Each year they go somewhere different and it is always a fun event! We also have a trip planned for next month by Debbie and Yvonne to go to the Fresno Zoo, lunch at Sal's, and spend the night at the Tachi Casino. "Bring your own money!" Another thought for you is that the club elections are coming up. If you would like to run for an office or hold one of the appointed positions, start thinking about it. "I promise it won't hurt, and it could be fun" So, maybe some of you can consider it. The meeting this month will be at Marie Callender s in Pismo on Sept. 13th at 6:30. Respectfully, Your President, We all had a good time eating, talking, listening to Jon's cool music and watching the cars cruise by! A few of our members joined the cruise. Respectfully, Chris EVENTS Debbie Gilbert Hi everyone, chris.petrush@yahoo.com Summer is coming to an end but there are still some events coming up this year! First, I will talk about what happened last month: We had our club meeting on Aug. 9 at Templeton Park. We had a great turnout and had to make a big circle with our chairs to make room for everyone. It was a fun meeting! We enjoyed the fresh air underneath the trees, and had a good laugh watching Richard wrestle with his new chair. He was having a heck of a time, ending up on the grass at one point! Chris and Caroline talked about the club "Ladies' Trip to Chumash Casino" on Aug. 8, and what fun they had. Vicki had also joined them. They will plan another trip to the casino In the future and hope that more of the ladies will join them. 2

Admission to the zoo, including parking, is $12.00 per couple. We will then head to Sal's Mexican Restaurant for our 2:30 reservation. Jon, We've attended Cambria's annual Labor Day bash, Pinedorado, for a number of years but this was the first when we had our Corvette. So, we entered it in the car show and spent a delightful day with all the other car nuts (including a large contingent of Vette owners, mostly from outside the area) trading stories and examining each other's cars. Anyway, if you are desperate for photos for the next newsletter, here's a shot of "The Silver Sling," as it sat on display. That's Denise lounging at the rear in the first photo. Russ Surber 7
