SNAGOV LAKE The main attraction is the Snagov Monastery located on an isolated island on the lake, accessible only by boat or by the new bridge recently built. This is the burial place of the supposed legend of Dracula, Vlad Tepes. Snagov is a small village 40 km north of Bucharest, with its beautiful lake ten miles long. In the middle of the lake is an island occupied by a monastery, built in 59.
