Crew Profile Captain: Paul Roberts Age: 51 Nationality: British Paul s experience covers many aspects ranging from three transatlantic crossings on sailing yachts, cruising the pacific up to Alaska via the Panama Canal on a 50 metre motor yacht, cruising the Red Sea via the Suez Canal, four seasons in the Caribbean and summer seasons in the Mediterranean. After over 20 years in the yachting industry, working on vessels such as GEORGIA ROSE, CEDAR SEA II and IL CIGNO Paul enjoys all aspects of yachting with no day being the same. In his spare time Paul enjoys music, literature, history and travel. First Mate: Neal Bateman Age: 27 Nationality: British and South African Languages: English & Fluent Spanish Following Neal achieving a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance he entered the yachting industry in June 2009 and with hard work and persistence he obtained a temporary position on board the reputable Oasis, a 60m Lurssen as deckhand/engineer. Since then Neal has completed his Yachtmaster Offshore, MCA AEC and has worked on a private and charter motor yachts in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and west Mediterranean. Neal is highly reliable with a positive attitude and you will find him active and vibrant in his approach to work and life, he is always willing to go the extra mile. Neal enjoys rugby, football, surfing, waterpolo, diving, wildlife, reading, cooking, travel and plays the saxophone. The Master Stateroom (main deck forward) has a king-size bed. There is also a large entryway to starboard with a full hanging locker. There is an entertainment centre with large Plasma flatscreen TV at the bottom of the bed. The master ensuite bathroom has a tub and shower, marble counter tops and walls. The guest cabins have been completely refitted during the 2010 refit. The aft VIP stateroom has a king-size bed, two hanging closets and an ensuite bathroom on the port side with shower. There is an additional double guest stateroom with a queen-size bed to starboard and also a twin guest stateroom. All the cabins have their own toilet and shower. All cabins have TVs, stereos, and DVD players. The yacht carries a good selection of watersports toys to keep the more active guests entertained. The saloon is located just aft of the dining area, and offers a spacious relaxation area, including am entertainment area with Pioneer DVD set and Apple TV. The saloon affords excellent visibility to both port and starboard, as well as a clear view to the open aft deck through double sliding teak doors. To starboard is a circular staircase, leading to the guest accommodations below. The Dining Saloon is located forward of the Saloon. The Sky Lounge has been converted into an office.
