CLCCA s entire recreation center was affected by Hurricane Harvey and we are grateful the board approved the purchase of flood insurance the previous year. General Manager Rachel Morales was very detailed in filing the claims enabling CLCCA to receive close to $690,000 for the rebuild. Rachel also completed a grant from Texas Mutual which awarded CLCCA $10,000 to also assist with the rebuild. The gym was re-opened with a new floor on November 8th. The office officially re-opened on December 14th. The Pavilion, CD, G100 and camp office is expected to be completed in February. Special thanks to the many volunteers who helped clean up the Recreation Center and parks after the storm. We appreciate you! The Revision of Founding Documents Special Committee is moving forward. The committee held a meeting on December 5, 2017 to discuss the situation. There was an excellent turn out of home owners. Included in the audience were two past CLCCA Presidents. We are finalizing the verbiage and look forward to our revisions being submitted in the next Texas legislative session (2019), as is required by law. The committee has a high level of confidence that the wording will pass, and you, the home owners will be granted the right to vote on specific issues proposed to you by the CLCCA Board of Directors.
