Peter O Neill CMG, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Hon. Nixon Duban and Yuki Sadamitsu, Director, Oil & Gas Division, Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI). We look forward to welcoming you to the next edition on 13-15 March 2018. 2017 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED: The key petroleum players involved in the PNG energy sector were all represented and important updates were provided on additional LNG set to come on stream over the coming years, including the Papua LNG project for which a positive outlook was detailed during a presentation from operators Total. The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy also laid out plans for new acreage which is set to be auctioned in the coming months and detailed plans for the commercialisation of onshore stranded gas were provided by Wapu Sonk, MD, Kumul Petroleum Holdings Ltd. Hon. Peter O Neill CMG, Prime Minister, Papua New Guinea stated: The current investment climate in PNG is very positive. The industry players must see what is happening in our country. I think it is important that the conference is continuously held in PNG, it will give an opportunity to both investors, the buyers and the sellers to get together to discuss what are the opportunities that are here for the future. TESTIMONIALS: The inaugural PNG petroleum and energy summit was a huge success, it provided a great opportunity for international investors to come to PNG and appreciate first hand the opportunities that exist and also an opportunity for the Government of PNG to provide key updates relating the energy sector. Wapu Sonk, Managing Director, Kumul Petroleum We acknowledge the very high quality of the summit and look forward to the next one. Philippe Blanchard, Managing Director, Total E&P PNG Ltd I would like to congratulate CWC for pulling off an excellent Energy Summit in Port Moresby last week. The feedback I received was very positive in relation to the professional way in which the conference was presented and organised. Huw Evans, Managing Director, Twinza Oil Limited The great thing about this summit is the networking, the conference gives you the ideal opportunity to actually spend time with people who will make the difference. Ian Munro, Executive General Manager Gas Business Development, Oil Search Limited (OSL) For me the key takeaway from the conference has been the questions from the floor. We have seen Ministers, people from the industry side, all engaging and using this as a forum to share view and share ideas.
