TRAVEL By Air All domestic and international flights into Sydney arrive at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport at Mascot in Eastern Sydney. The fastest way to get to Sydney CBD from the airport is via the Airport Link Train (approx $15 one way and a 20 min trip). Wynyard train station is directly below the conference hotel, The Menzies. A taxi fare will cost approximately $32-$45 each way. For further information regarding Sydney airport visit www.sydneyairport.com.au. By Car Sydney is home to nearly 5 million people and has a very complex road network. If new to driving in Sydney visit www.sydneymotorways.com to check traffic conditions, view maps and find out about electronic tags and passes. Certain motorways require electronic tags or passes but it is recommended that you stay on the motorways and main arterial roads as you should find these the quickest, easiest, safest and most efficient way of getting into, around and through Sydney. If you use a toll road without a tag or pass, just call 13 18 65 to purchase an emu pass or purchase from a participating petrol station or convenience store. Fines apply for non-payment of tolls. Interstate visitors can use interstate e-tags on NSW toll roads. This also applies to rental vehicles which are not already equipped for toll travel. An electronic tag or pass is required to travel southbound on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and tunnel. Both are cashless and the toll you pay depends on the time of day you cross. The toll is cheapest outside peak hours and on weekends. ACCOMMODATION The Menzies Sydney is both the conference venue and our preferred accommodation provider. We have negotiated special conference rates and encourage you to consider this ideally located property for your stay in Sydney. Wynyard train station is directly underneath the hotel making airport transfers quick and affordable. To book please contact The Menzies Sydney during business hours directly on + 61 2 9299 1000 or via email at h2977-re@accor.com.
