Thank you for considering the Hilton Swindon. We are pleased to provide you with some information regarding our hotel that you may find useful when planning your visit to the hotel. Arrival at Hotel: All disabled guests should use the main entrance of the hotel, there are no steps and the ground is paved. The main entrance consists of an automatic revolving door, with two side doors. After 1am, the front doors are locked and a doorbell is located at to the left of the left hand side door. The official drop of point is directly outside the main entrance, as the area has double yellow lines. Guests being dropped off are advised that the hotel car park is a one way system. The car park entrance is located off the Great Western Way sign posted Lydiard Fields. The car park has a barrier system in operation on both entrance and exit. There are 180 spaces, of which five are designated disabled. Should you need assistance with luggage, equipment or any guidance, a member of the reception team will be happy to help or arrange for a porter to assist you. Reception is manned 24 hours a day. The concierge can be located in the lobby at the main reception desk. Welcome & Reception: There are no steps in the main lobby area, however there are four pillars of differing sizes. The front desk is located directly in front of you as you enter from the main hotel entrance between the two central pillars. On the left of the lobby is a seating area. To the far left of the main entrance is the restaurant, access is via a flat area and bar, which can also be access by a wheelchair lift. The second pillar on the left hand side separates the main lobby area from the seating area on the left of the lobby. The second right hand pillar separates the lobby area from the lobby lift area. The surfaces on the ground floor are marble, with carpet around the raised area. From the reception area the lifts are on the right, as you face the reception desk, after the second pillar. Check-in is at the main reception desk, which is one metre 10 centimetres high, should you require a member of staff to assist your check-in experience they will be able to come to the seating area with a clip board. The induction loop is located at the HHonors check-in point to the left of the reception desk. Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) are also available. Should you require a large print copy of the registration card please as the team member checks you in. Additional Services: Should you wish to order a newspaper, please contact the reception team. Your newspaper will be delivered to your room daily. Wake-up calls can be ordered through the reception team. Every guest room has a guest directory that contains information regarding the facilities in the hotel. For additional assistance to use this directory, please contact a team member. Toilet Facilities: There are two sets of public toilets in the hotel. One set is in the meeting area, there is another set in our Costa Coffee lounge. These both have specific accessible toilets. The accessible toilets in our Costa Coffee area can be accessed on the ground floor. The toilet is located to the right hand side as you proceed towards the entrance to the restaurant. Getting round the Hotel: All lifts have audible enunciation for the partly sighted and tactile buttons at the regulation height. The lifts have mirrors on the right or left.

Costa Coffee Lounge Costa Coffee can be accessed from the main lobby towards the restaurant and bar area. Costa Coffee has an accessible toilet opposite the main counter area. The Larder Restaurant & Bar Larder Restaurant & Bar is located in the main lobby area and can be accessed from the main lobby. On exiting the lift, the entrance to the restaurant is to the right of you past Costa Coffee. Once in the restaurant area, the bar can be accessed via a stair-lift, see staff members for assistance. The Restaurant area is tiled, and then the main restaurant area has a wooden floor. A wooden ramp can also be provided to access the Bar. Menus can be provided in large print if required. LivingWell The Hotel has a health club with a weights room located on the ground floor. Consisting of Free Weights Lat Pulldown machine High/low pulley machine Leg extension/ curl machine Shoulder Press Chest Press with removable seat The Health Club is manned, with additional surveillance cameras, which are monitored. The doorway into the Health Club has wooden double doors, which are very heavy, assistance can be provided if necessary. The floor in the gym is wooden. There is an accessible wet room located on the left as you enter the main door. The wet room consists of a pull down seated shower area, a toilet with hand rails, and lockers in this facility. The cardio vascular room which is located by accessing the lifts in the main hotel lobby to the 2 nd floor turning left to the bedroom corridor and it s the 1 st door on the left to access please contact a member of staff. - consisting of 3 treadmills, - 2 upright bikes, - 2 rowing machines - 1 step machine. - 1 hand bike - 3 Cross-trainers - Exercise mats - Bar bells Towels are provided at the health club reception desk Water dispensers are available in both gym areas. Entry to the pool via the waterside and has a small incline of 6 steps with handrail but a pool hoist is available on request. The pool is 1.2metres deep with an integrated bubble pool with seating area this is on the left hand side Steam room & Sauna are accessible from the pool side with a step to enter the shower area, with a small step into each room. The Business Centre From the lobby, to access the business centre, take the lifts to the C level. The doors open to the opposite to the way in which you entered. This area is carpeted. The business centre is straight in front of you. Access is through double wooden doors The business centre is manned however please contact reception on O if assistance is required. Reception will also be able to arrange for any photocopying services. Conference Facilities The Hilton Swindon has 1 meeting suite, which can be split into 3 smaller rooms. Avebury & Kennet form the Lydiard Suite. All rooms have natural daylight.

See below for a description of each specific meeting room. The meeting rooms and the foyer areas are all carpeted. All meeting rooms can be fitted with an At Your Service call button should you require assistance. The hire of audio visual equipment can be arranged prior to your event, please inform the conference and events sales person when making the booking. The Lydiard Suite (Avebury & Kennet) Access to the suite is flat, and is accessed from across the lobby, proceed past the Caffe Cino area and the room is on the left. Should you require assistance, please contact the conference and banqueting operations team or the duty manager. The Lydiard suite has floor to ceiling windows along the outside wall, which can be blacked out with curtains. The room has one pillar. There is direct access to the kitchen in the Wyvern of the suite. On the left hand side of the Wyvern room as you enter the main entrance there is a bar with a high service counter. The dimensions of the rooms and location of the power sockets, telephones etc can be seen on the floor plans which can be obtained upon request from the conference and events sales team. Conference Level Access to the conference level is via the lifts, level C. All areas are carpeted and all meeting and training rooms have natural daylight. Please see plans for power points which can be obtained upon request from the conference and events sales team. All rooms have low level air conditioning. All rooms have call buttons. Please seek assistance for any special requirements. Toilet Facilities There is an accessible toilet ion the conference level; it can be accessed from C level to the left of the business level reception desk. Bedrooms 5 Accessible rooms with bathtubs (5 Twin Rooms). Accessible rooms can be found on the ground floor all rooms are non smoking. All accessible rooms have the following bathroom facilities:- grab rails around the toilets, higher level toilets, emergency pull cord, low level storage shelf. Accessible rooms have:- a lower level sink, hangers at a lower level in the wardrobe, low level spy hole in the bedroom door, wider doors, low level are conditioning controls. The following equipment can be added to any room in the hotel for you to use:- Derby toilet seat Derby bath board mark 2 with handles Cosby bath seat Ashby step-two Castle sate support rail Bed risers (individual elephant feet) Voyager travel bag An inflatable chair to assist in getting in and out of a bath. Your room will have a chair at the desk, a comfy chair and coffee table, should you require more space in your room any of these items can be removed. Please contact either reservations in advance of your stay or housekeeping once you have arrived at the hotel to arrange for furniture to be moved. A staff member will be sent to your room immediately; he or she will knock on your door, and enter using a fire key. They will then assist you directly out of the building. On exiting your room, please do not stop to collect personal belongings other than medication that you may need. The evacuation is structured to help people who are nearest to the location of the fires, if you are moved to the lifts and are waiting this will be because you are in no immediate danger. In the event of a manual evacuation down fire stairs, should you need, you will be transferred into a lightweight evacuation chair and carried down the stairs and outside. In the unlikely event that a member of staff does not reach your room, carefully open the door and check your exit to the refuge point. If it is blocked or if there is smoke, go back inside your room and close your door. The door to your room is fire resistant for one hour, we will inform the fire brigade as soon as they arrive to the hotel of your room number. Do not block the door with anything including towels, as this will prevent the fire brigade from entering your room. Do not open any windows as this can incease air circulation, smoke and flames. If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door behind you, breaking a call point if possible on your way out. The test of the emergency alarms takes place on Monday at 10:30am, the siren will sound no more than 1 minute.
