FRIENDLY TOWNS PROGRAM SCAVENGER HUNT www.freshair.org @FreshAirFund @TheFreshAirFund @FreshAirFund

2 WELCOME EXPLORERS! We are excited for your Fresh Air Fund adventure this summer and can t wait to see all the fun you ll be having! You have been assigned a special mission: to capture photos of your Fresh Air summer all the new experiences, outdoor adventures, laughter, and fun - as part of our Friendly Towns Program Photo Scavenger Hunt! DIRECTIONS: Use this guide during your Fresh Air experience and mark an X in the box after you accomplish an assignment on a mission! You can add your own missions and categories, and we encourage you to take photographs, videos, and boomerangs! It will be impossible to accomplish every single task, so don t worry if you can t check off everything. HOW TO SUBMIT: When you are ready to share your photos and videos with The Fresh Air Fund, please email all highresolution files to communications@freshair.org with the subject line: scavenger hunt, and when you upload to social media use the hashtag #ShareASummer and #FreshAirFund. The Fund will post its favorite submissions on its main social media pages each week. Each photo can only be entered in one category. Remember to work together. It is a family activity. You will not be able to complete any mission alone, and all family members can help. Remember to ask an adult if you have any questions and HAVE FUN!!! WELCOME!

3 PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS When in doubt, use the auto flash mode. Avoid shooting directly into the light or sun. Move closer when taking a photo instead of zooming in (zooming in decreases photo quality.) Focus your lens on the most important part of your photo. Using a smartphone camera? Tap the area of the photo you want to focus on. Burst mode is great for action shots!
