Nutmeg Division Northeastern Region National Model Railroad Assn. Minutes of the Board of Directors meeting, Dec. 12, 2005 The meeting was held at George Reitze's home. Attending were Joe Sokol, Al Daley, Charlie Bettinger, and George Reitze. The meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm by Joe Sokol. Treasurers Report Ken May reported a balance of $1224.95, This was an increase over the 12/04 balance. COMMITTIES AND ACTIVITIES Web Site Nutmeg Flyer A discussion was made on the future of the flyer. We have not yet been successful in using the web site to distribute it to all members with web access. It may be necessary to spread information by postcards. A date of Dec. 28 was set to have the next issue ready for posting. The last issue has not yet appeared on the web site. Membership Promotion Jack Kreeger provided an information table at the November train show. The membership promotion panels are expected to be displayed at the Amherst Society show in West Springfield on Jan. 28/29, 2006. REGIONAL BUSINESS NATIONAL BUSINESS The 2006 National Convention will be in Philadelphia in July. NMRA representatives plan to promote the 2006 National Convention at the Amherst show in West Springfield, Jan. 28/29 2006. Al Daley is representing the Division on preparations for the 2009 convention in Hartford. NEW BUSINESS Nutmeg Events The next membership meeting will be a visit to the layout of Brian Whiton in Windsor Locks, 1-4 pm an Jan. 14. Plan on car pooling as parking is limited. The annual banquet will be held on March 14 at 5pm at Elaine's Restaurant in Wethersfield. A buffet has been suggested. The annual picnic will be held in August at Jack Kreeger's home Train Show A discussion was held on holding a modular layout display in the fall, replacing the train show. Charlie Bettinger will investigate possible locations available at no cost. Calandars Calandars prepared by Jack Kreeger and Ken May are now available from Joe Sokol Membership Al Daley is contacting new members and welcoming them to participate in Division activities. Benefit of the Order The next meeting will be at Al Daley's home at 7:30 pm on Feb. 6. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 pm.
