EXCHANGE PROGRAM An exchange program is an excellent alternative to the classic programs as it offers the opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a different culture, practice and improve their knowledge of a foreign language in addition to making friends. The Exchange Program is organized between North Andover High School of North Andover and los Colegios La Presentacion and La Asunción de Granada. The conditions of this exchange are agreed between the two schools. Note that the number of pupils participating in the exchange may differ between the two schools. Forum cannot guarantee that both schools have the same number of participants. However, everything possible will be done to find additional hosting families in the case that one school does not have the same number as the other school. COLEGIO LA PRESENTACION Calle Gran Capitán 14, 18002 Granada http://www.lapresentacion.com/granada/ COLEGIO LA ASUNCIÓN Calle Martínez de la Rosa, 5, 18002 Granada http://www.asunciongranada.es/ HOSTING A FOREIGN STUDENT When participating in a Spanish exchange, families are expected to treat their guest in the same manner that they would like their son or daughter to be treated by their exchange partner and their family when they participate in the other side of the exchange. This is the basic reciprocal agreement of the families and the exchange partner families. The main focus on the host family is to provide food and lodging to the foreign student. In addition, it is beneficial to the student if you as a family can spend time with them so that they get the opportunity to see how life in the USA compares to their life at home. The student exchange form provides a lot of information about your temporary guest including their likes, dislikes and usual family life along with personal information about allergies and emergency contact detail.
