Members receive a 50% discount on dues by working a minimum of 4 hours for the club throughout the year. Members who have not paid their dues by the due date will not receive credit for hours worked and will have their name removed from the roster. Club Meetings The club meets the second Monday of the month at 7:30pm at Fox Run Lanes in Waukesha The board meets the first Monday of the month at 7:00pm at Fox Run Lanes in Waukesha Spark and Sputter The club newsletter is published 6 times a year on the even numbered months. The deadline for putting articles in the newsletter is 2 weeks prior to the newsletter being published. Send items to be published to Bob Merner or email at bobwocc@yahoo.com Coming Events April 14, is the WOCC SOCK HOP at Center Courts. This is a big event and everyone s help is needed to make it successful. Contact Len Litt @ 262-548-9420. April 15 is a Sunday Brunch at Thunder Bay. The time is 11:30 and the cost is $21.00 per person which includes tax and tip. Depending on the weather we may go for a cruise after the brunch Contact Tom Garibaldi @ 262-547- 5212 by April 10 if you plan on attending. Menu is shown below. May 5 is the annual HAWS walk at Sussex Lions Park. This is a fund raiser for HAWS. Club members can donate their time assisting with the cooking and assisting the other volunteers. It starts at 9:00am and there will be a small car show. Contact Tom Garibaldi @ 262-547-5212 for more information. May 12-13 will be the SPRING CRUISE to southeast WI with an overnight stay in Plattville. Contact Dale Schneider @ 262-252- 3035 for more information. May 19 The Waukesha Historical Society is having a Historic Day Celebration. They are looking for pre-1950 original cars for display. It starts at 9:30am. WAUKESHA OLD CAR CLUB Regular Meeting February 13, 2012 The meeting was called to order with 48 members in attendance. New members and guests were introduced. Sunshine Committee no report. Secretary s Report Nicky Stefanski read the secretary s report from the month of January. The report was approved as read. Treasurer s Report Jim Young gave a report of the income and expenses for the month of January. The report was approved as read. Vice-President s Report Steve Heinemann is currently collecting dues. There are still a few members who have not paid. Any members who don t pay their dues will loose their discount for working and will also not be listed in the roster. We hope to have the roster available at the March meeting. President s Report Ron Wichinski said that we will be having a guest speaker at this evening s meeting. The guest speaker will be Todd Papador from Auto Paint and Supply in Waukesha. Committee Reports Dave Michaelis needs help with unloading the trailer and then loading it for the World of Wheels. This will be done at Hopson Auto Repair at 5pm on February 14. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the World of Wheels so Dave is looking for pictures from prior shows to be displayed. Bob Wiesenthal is still awaiting information on Jefferson Swap Meet. The dates are April 27-29. Contact Weasy if you are interested in selling under the club tent. More information will be available at the March meeting. The 2012 Sock Hop will be April 14, and the location will be Center Courts on Northview Road. This year the bands will be The Rockin Robins and Nostalgia. Lenny Litt has asked that everyone take some tickets to sell. He also passed around a worker signup sheet. We need more help on the 8pm to 11pm shift and for setup and teardown after the sock hop. Now is the time to get posters out and promote the event. Nicky read the list of sponsors and asked for volunteers to contact the sponsors and pick up door prizes. Mel Stark said the he has 86 members who signed up for the Member Appreciation Banquet. It will be in the same location as the past several years. However the name of the restaurant has been changed to Bullwinkle s. Tickets are available at the meeting or by contacting Mel. Tickets are $12.50 per person or $25.00 for a couple. You must purchase your tickets before the banquet as no tickets are available after February 18th. This years Bowling Party will be March 17. This is St. Patrick s Day. Lenny passed a sign up sheet and asked that everyone pay by the next meeting. The theme this year is St Patrick s Day, so wear some GREEN. 4

WAUKESHA OLD CAR CLUB Regular Meeting March 12, 2012 The meeting was called to order, new members and guests were introduced. Sunshine Committee reported that they sent out cards of condolence to the Charlie Gresser family who lost their Daughter and to the Dan Calvano family who lost Dan s Mother. President s Report- Ron Wichinski started the meeting by introducing new member Ken Moriva. Secretary s Report Nicole Stefanski read the minutes from the February meeting. The minutes were approved as read. Treasurer s Report Jim Young gave a report of income and expenses for the month of February. He also presented the 2012 club budget. The report and budget were approved as presented. Vice-President s Report Steve Heinemann passed out 2012 club rosters. He noted that the club lost 12 members but gained 6 new member families. Committee Reports Dale Schneider said the Spring Tour will be May 12-13. They will be touring Southeast Wisconsin and staying over night in Platteville. For more information contact Dale at 262-252-3035. Bob Wiesenthal said that Spring Jefferson will be April 27-29. He will have the entry passes at the next meeting. Mel Stark said that 90 members attended the Appreciation Banquet. He said that he received a lot of compliments on the food this year. Thanks to Mel and Marge Stark and Nic and Kathy Gengler for their efforts to coordinate the banquet. Lenny Litt said the Bowling Party will be on March 17 at Fox Run Lanes. Bowling starts at 2:00pm with dinner following at 5:00pm. The cost is $10.00 per person which includes the bowling, shoes, ball and dinner. This is open to WOCC members only. This is St Patrick s Day so be sure to wear GREEN. Lenny Litt also talked about the Sock Hop. A sign up sheet was passed around for workers in all areas, especially for security and collecting tickets at the door. Currently he only has 24 members who have taken tickets to sell. We need more members selling tickets. This is a major fund raiser for the club and needs everyone's help. Posters and tickets are available. Door prizes are being dropped off at Hopson Automotive. If you will be dropping off door prizes give Nicky a call at 262-227-8014. For more information and tickets contact Len Litt at 262-548-9420. Dave Michaelis said that he had 6 cars at the World of Wheels on February 17-19. He wanted to thank everyone who helped with the display. This year the Picnic and Auction will be on September 9 at West Park which is the same location as previous years. More information will be provided in the next newsletter and at meetings. The amendment to Article IV Section 4 of the by-laws that was tabled at a previous meeting was taken off the table and discussed prior to being voted upon. A paper ballot was taken. The Amendment passed as published in the January newsletter. 5

Al Schultz 262-968-2092 Waukesha Historical Society This event will be taking place on the 19TH of May and will include a variety of sites near the down town area of Waukesha. We have been invited to participate as part of this event by providing vehicles from the early 20th century to the late 1940's. There will be a gathering of cars from this period at Cutler park near the Waukesha library and from that point the vehicles will be placed at one of the historic buildings which will be open for tours. I have asked the Early Ford V-8 club to join us in this event. We will gather at the park at 9:AM and from that point would be able to move to the historic sites which will be open for tours (there will be, as usual, coffee and donuts). There will be six groups participating in this event including period re-enactment presenting vintage dress and historical events, and local property owners. Please mark your calendars and if you have questions, please call Tom Garibaldi @ 262-547-5212. My Garage The club has scheduled a cruise to Valenti's Classic cars in Racine County at 7 mile road for Saturday May 19th. We will enjoy coffee and kringle from Racine O & H bakery. We are asking that everyone meet in the Fox Run parking lot at 8:30am and we will leave at 8:45am. We'll cruise east down I-94 taking the 894 bypass and south again on I-94. After touring Valenti's, we'll cruise to downtown Racine for lunch at Kewpees for the best burgers you ever ate.
