Middleton Hall Not many universities can boast a world-class concert and performance venue at the heart of their campus. The Lawns The Lawns is situated in 40 acres of landscaped parkland on the outskirts of the village of Cottingham, approximately 3.5 miles from the main University campus. The Lawns is able to accommodate a wide range of events, thanks to its multifunctional centre and residential halls. 10 ALLAM MEDICAL BUILDING BRYNMOR JONES LIBRARY The Allam Medical Building is the stunning centrepiece of the University s 28 million health campus. Amongst the simulated hospital ward, operating theatres and clinical skills rooms sit some fantastic events spaces. These include a 200-seater lecture theatre, a selection of smaller lecture theatres and teaching rooms, a mezzanine lounge and a healthy eating-themed café, Zest. The Brynmor Jones Library is a creative learning environment that provides extensive services and fantastic facilities. As well as a range of meeting and teaching rooms the library offers some of the most unique function spaces in the region, including an exhibition hall, art gallery and seventh-floor observatory. 11 SPORTS & FITNESS CENTRE THE GROUNDS The University is investing 16 million in new sports facilities and is forging ever-stronger links with the city s sporting community, including continuing to be the Official Training Partner of Hull City FC. Work started this year on a new sports centre, which will house a 12-court sports facility that includes international-standard netball courts and seating for 700 spectators. Our grounds never fail to attract admiring glances and it s not difficult to see why. Carefully cultivated flowerbeds and wide open green spaces provide a stunning backdrop to life on campus, as well as practical space for outdoor events.
