Arts Hire Rehearsals Photographic/ Film Location The Space is an independent arts and community centre in the heart of the Isle of Dogs, East London. It has been running for 13 years as a multi-arts venue, combining music, theatre, dance, film, cabaret and comedy events. Our main focus is the development of new artists and performers and a commitment to access to the arts for all. You may like to consider offering a cheaper ticket online to encourage pre-sales. Tickets can also be booked by phone on 0207 515 7799. There is currently no additional booking fee when booking over the phone. As a guide, we recommend that standard tickets are priced around 10.00, concessions, 6.00; and finally group rates for parties of 10 or more. We will: *Email pressrelease to local press listings provided that you submit one to us 3 weeks before opening night *Mail shot to the Space mailing list and our Facebook group *Listing on the Space website (see www.space.org.uk for examples) *List your event on various online listings (including Remote Goat and OffWestend) The Space brochure is produced quarterly. Inclusion in the brochure is subject to availability, suitability and how far in advance the booking is taken. For inclusion in the brochure and on the website, please send one horizontal jpeg image (at least 300 dpi) and copy (approx 60 80 words). The event cannot go on sale unless we have this. Disabled Access Flat access to all entrances, guide dogs welcome. The entrance doors are 1100 mm wide. There is level access from the pavement and a cobbled area in the courtyard. There is flat access to all levels and an accessible lift, 880mm wide and 1230mm deep. Across the road there is a glass building called Jubilee Place and in front of that is bus stop L. The D3, D7 and 135 buses take you directly to the Space. We are 6 stops away from Canary Wharf, just after the Docklands Sailing Centre on the left. Our bus stop is called Windmill House. From Mudchute DLR station If arriving from Bank direction, turn right when getting off the train and walk up the stairs. Follow the brick wall round and turn right down the stairs. Bear right down Spindrift Avenue and keep walking to the end of this road. Turn right on to Westferry Road and the Space is a few minutes up the road opposite Rose Food and Wine store. By Bus You can get the D7 from Mile End or Poplar, the D3 from Bethnal Green and the 135 from Old Street. Our bus stop is called Windmill House. By Boat Aviod the hustle and bustle by taking the scenic route along the river. The Thames Clipper travels from Waterloo pier via Embankment, Blackfriars and London Bridge, to Masthouse Terrace Pier. From the pier walk straight ahead down Napier Avenue. At the end turn left on to Westferry Road, the Space is a 5 minute walk from here on the opposite side of the road. By Car We have limited car parking spaces available. There is free street parking evenings and weekends.
