Itinerary for 3 day fly in gray whale trip Dates beginning Christmas week 2014 through April, 2015. Day one (Monday or Wednesday): Our driver meets you at 8:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. From there he drives you approximately 1 1/2 hours to the Ensenada Airport where you will meet your flight to Guerrero Negro. Upon arrival at the Guerrero Negro Airport you will be transferred approximately 1 1/2 hours to our secluded and very nice seaside camp location. You will be scheduled to arrive in time for a very nice dinner. (D) Day two Tuesday or Thursday: Today you are scheduled for two gray whale watching boat rides. We always expect to have fun on every boat trip. Every trip seems different, but you can be assured that you will see hundreds of whales while out on your whale watching trip. But no trip to see the gray whales would be complete without a very close encounter with a friendly whale. We do not offer a guarantee that this will happen. But we have a perfect 20 year record for close encounters for our five day and longer trips. These three and four day trips are new on our schedule so we donʼt have statistics available for them as yet. But our expectations are that you will have a great short time whale watching experience. (B, L, D) Day three Wednesday or Friday: After breakfast at camp you will transfer to the Guerrero Negro Airport to meet your flight north. Upon arrival in Ensenada our driver will meet your flight and transport you back to the Holiday Inn Bayside. You can expect to arrive at the hotel around 5 to 6 p.m. (B) Itinerary 4 day fly in gray whale trip Friday to Monday weekly Christmas week through April, 2015 Day one Friday: Our driver meets you at 8:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. Upon arrival at the Guerrero Negro Airport you will be transferred approximately 1 1/2 hours to our secluded and very nice seaside camp location. Upon arrival in Ensenada our driver will meet your flight and transport you back to the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. You can expect to arrive back at the hotel around 5-6 p.m. (B) Itineraries for 5, 6 & 8 day trips are the same as the four day trip above with the exception of more days of whale watching. Itinerary 6 day fly in gray whale trip Friday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Monday weekly Christmas week through April, 2015 Day one Friday or Wednesday: Our driver meets you at 8:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. From there he drives you approximately 1 1/2 hours to the Ensenada Airport where you will meet your flight to Guerrero Negro. Upon arrival at the Guerrero Negro Airport you will be

transferred approximately 1 1/2 hours to our secluded and very nice seaside camp location. You will be scheduled to arrive in time for a very nice dinner. (B, L, D) Day four and five Monday & Tuesday or Saturday & Sunday Two more days filled with whale watching and great food. By now youʼre beginning to relax and really enjoy our shoreside lodge. The anticipation and worry about whether or not you will see a lot of whales is surely gone. Youʼll undoubltedly spend some time sitting outside your tent watching the whales jump and play while you sip a drink and soak up the relaxing atmosphere. (B, L, D) Day six Wednesday and Monday: Day four Monday: After breakfast at camp you will transfer to the Guerrero Negro Airport to meet your flight north. Upon arrival in Ensenada our driver will meet your flight and transport you back to the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. You can expect to arrive back at the hotel around 5-6 p.m. (B) Itinerary for the 8 day trip is the same as the six day trip above with the exception of two more days of whale watching. Itinerary 8 day fly into Cabo or La Paz February 5 to 12 combination gray and blue whales Day one February 5: You will be met at the Cabo San Lucas (SJD) or La Paz (LAP) Airport and transferred to our overnight accommodations at the Paradise Inn in La Paz. Those arriving in Cabo should schedule their flight arrival before 2:00 p.m. OR plan on arriving a day early and staying overnight in the Cabo San Lucas area. We will gladly advise you about accommodations and timing for your arrival so you have no issues meeting up with our driver on day one. If arriving in La Paz, you can arrive most anytime today or tonight. Our hotel driver will meet you and bring you to our hotel for the evening. From Cabo we drive north to the city of La Paz to overnight there. This is a short 2 hour drive and gets us close to the whale watching location at Magdalena Bay. Day two February 6: Today we make a 2 1/2 hour drive to Puerto Adolpho Lopez Mateos. This small and quaint fishing town comes alive each January through March as the gray whales return again. There is not much in the way of tourist infrastructure in this remote and relatively newly developing whale watching area. Our accommodations are at one of the two small and basic motels situated just a short distance from the boat embarcation point. Today you will enjoy one boat ride of one and one half hours duration. With just a little luck you will also experience your first really close encounter with the friendly gray whales. Whale watching here will surely not disappoint you! (B & L) Day three February 7: Today you enjoy two boat rides of two hours each to see the whales. Each boat ride is likely to be a little different than the one before. Between the two boat rides you can relax at one of the shoreside seasonal cafes and enjoy a nice lunch. (B & L)

Day four February 8: Following breakfast we will do a final one and a half hour whale watching trip before setting out for the town of Loreto. Loreto is about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive away. You will have some time to explore the interesting town center and perhaps visit the Peninsulaʼs oldest mission. Our accommodations tonight are at a nice hotel, the El Dorado, located in town central and just one block from the sea. (B & L) Days five & six, February 9 & 10: These are your blue whale watching days. Each day you will get up and have breakfast at 7:00 a.m., then arriving at the dock at 8:00 a.m. Our days of whale watching in Loreto are always started early because of the constant afternoon winds. Time on the water is dependent on many variables such as location of the whales, weather and sea conditions. dock in the early afternoon anytime from 1 to 4 p.m. (B & L) Day seven, February 11: We leave Loreto and drive to La Paz. Once more we will stay overnight at the Paradise Inn. (B & L) Day eight, February 12: Those of you departing from La Paz will be transferred by the hotel shuttle van to the La Paz Airport. Those departing from Cabo (SJD) will ride to the Cabo Airport arriving around 11:00 a.m. at the airport. So please schedule your departure times to suit this approximately 11:00 a.m. arrival at the airport. (B) Itinerary February 11-20 The Worldʼs Greatest Whale Watching Event Gray whales Laguna Ojo de Liebre, Magdalena Bay & San Ignacio. Blue whales Sea of Cortez Day one February 11: Arrival in Loreto. We meet you at the airport and you transfer to our Loreto hotel, the El Dorado Hotel. Day two & three February 12 & 13: These are your blue whale watching days. (B,L) Day four, February 14: Drive to San Ignacio Lagoon today. One afternoon whale watch here. Tonight we stay at the comfortable Rice and Beans hotel in the town of San Ignacio. (B, L) Day five, February 15: Following breakfast we drive 2 1/2 hours to the town of Guerrero Negro. Then we drive an hour further to our seaside upscale tented lodge. You will stay at these shoreside accommodations the next three nights. If you do not want these accommodations we will arrange for you to stay at a motel in town for a small upcharge. Please check out the notes about the tented lodge further on in this information packet. From your tent with or without binoculars you will be able to sit and observe the whales at play and at rest. In the quiet of the early morning when the afternoon wind is gone you will probably be able to hear the gentle whoosh of the whales breathing. (B,L,D) Day six & seven, February 16 & 17: These two days we think will be the best days of whale watching you will ever experience. But every day and every boat trip at every location is

different, fun and usually exciting. Each boat trip is scheduled by regulation to 1 1/2 hours in the observation area, both here and at San Ignacio. The rules are strictly enforced at San Ignacio because of the heavy boat pressure all day long, while at Laguna Ojo de Liebre there is a more relaxed attitude about the boat ride length because pressure on the whales is not constant nor intense from too many boats. (B,L,D) Day eight, February 18: Today we leave Laguna Ojo de Liebre and cross the peninsula to Loreto. (B) Day nine, February 19: One gray whale watching trip to Magdalena Bay. (B,L) Day ten, February 20: Today is departure day. Following breakfast, weʼll make sure you get to the airport on time for your flight home. (B) Itinerary February 21 - March 1 Nine day combination gray and blue whale trip Day one, February 21: You will be met at the Cabo San Lucas (SJD) or La Paz (LAP) Airport and transferred to our overnight accommodations at the Paradise Inn in La Paz. Those arriving in Cabo should schedule their flight arrival before 2:00 p.m. OR plan on arriving a day early and staying overnight in the Cabo San Lucas area. Between the two boat rides you can relax at one of the shoreside seasonal cafes and enjoy a nice lunch. (B & L) Day four February 25: Following breakfast we will set out for the town of Loreto.
