You will meet your tour managers and depart from your school early in the morning and drive to Plymouth. Rest stop en-route (Pilot Travel Center/North Stonington) Continue drive to Plymouth / You will watch a short movie on the bus about the Plimoth Plantation historical site and about what you will see during your visit. Plimoth Plantation - A living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Plimoth Plantation shows the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by English colonists, some of whom later became known as Pilgrims. Break for lunch (Boxed lunch at Plimoth Plantation) Continue drive to Boston Museum of Science / IMAX film - Explore the Museum of Science, a Boston, Massachusetts landmark. Along with over 500 interactive exhibits, the Museum features a number of live presentations throughout the building every day, along with shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni IMAX theater, the only domed IMAX screen in New England. The Museum is also home to over 100 animals, many of which have been rescued and rehabilitated from various dangerous situations. In the Mugar Omni Theater, the world's largest film format is projected onto a five-story-tall IMAX Dome screen. It wraps audiences in larger-than-life images of flora, fauna, and faraway places. You will have breakfast at the hotel and begin your day. Salem Witch Museum - You'll arrive at the Salem Witch Museum and follow the history of witches, witchcraft and witch hunts through the ages. You also watch a presentation of the events of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Cry Innocent - You'll be a part of "Cry Innocent," a dramatic live recreation of Salem's first witch trial, where audience members play the jury. Salem Witch Trials Memorial - The Salem Witch Trials Memorial is designed to be a place of respect and reflection. Inscribed in the stone threshold entering the memorial are the victims protests of innocence. These protests are interrupted midsentence by the wall, symbolizing society s indifference to oppression. The interior of the Memorial consists of 20 granite benches cantilevered from a low stone wall surrounding an area adjoining the Old Burying Point. The benches are inscribed with the name of the accused and the means and date of execution. Break for lunch (Boxed lunch at the Salem Common) Fenway Park - Experience a thrilling, one hour, walking tour of Fenway Park. Known to some as "America's Most Beloved Ballpark," Fenway is uniquely nestled in the city of Boston. See the home of Red Sox Legends, Williams, Yaz, Fisk and Rice. Visit Pesky's Pole and sit atop the world famous Green Monster which stands 37 feet 2 inches high overlooking leftfield. This is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever. Hahvahd Tour - The Hahvahd Tour is the most popular tour of Harvard University. Take a guided tour of the Yahd and learn the history, lore and legend of one of the world s most respected institutions. This entertaining and informative tour is lead by current Harvard students. Dinner at Dave & Busters - You'll have dinner at Dave & Busters and then have free time to enjoy the arcade style games. A $20 per person game card is included, plus unlimited video game play. You will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. You will load your bags on the bus and begin your final day of touring. Paul Revere s Home On the night of April 18, 1775, silversmith Paul Revere left his small wooden home in Boston's North End and set out on a journey that would make him into a legend. Today that home is still standing at 19 North Square and has become a national historic landmark. It is downtown Boston's oldest building and one of the few remaining from an early era in the history of colonial America. Old North Church - You'll visit the Old North Church located in Boston s North End. Here, the signal from the steeple of Boston's oldest church triggered the War for Independence. On that fateful night in 1775, the two lanterns in the steeple told Paul Revere that the British were approaching by boat, not on foot. Break for lunch (Meal voucher at Quincy Market) Minuteman National Historic Park - You'll visit one of the sites at Minuteman National Historic Park and participate in a short ranger led program. The park is located in the historic towns of Lexington and Concord where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. On April 18th, Paul Revere, William Dawes and Samuel Prescott made their midnight journey to warn the colonists of the impending British attack. On the morning of April 19th, 1775, Minutemen faced the British and fought at the Lexington Battle Green. You'll also see the North Bridge in Concord where shots were fired. Ralph Waldo Emerson described the first shots by the Patriots here as, "The shot heard round the world." You'll board the bus and begin the return trip home. You ll arrive back at your school in the evening.
