SUGGESTED ITINERARY: Day 1 Meals on Flights AUSTRALIA SINGAPORE Depart Sydney for your flight to Paris via Singapore Arrive in Singapore Depart Singapore Day 2 Lunch Day 3 Day 4 SINGAPORE PARIS Arrive in Paris and transfer to accommodation by private coach Coach transfer into Paris to meet walking tour - Guided Walking Tour of Paris Welcome to Paris! Your guide will explain the layout of the city and the area where you are staying. We ll then offer tips on local customs, a basic language then head out into the city. Visit historic buildings and monuments and gain insider knowledge about the best markets, cafes, or the boulangerie where the best baguette in the area can be found. We ll leave you with a head full of knowledge and a better sense of how best to navigate this charming city. - Eiffel Tower Summit: This huge iron monument is named after its architect Gustave Eiffel and has become an icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. This is a must do for first time visitors to Paris. (date TBC dependant on availability) - Evening Montparnasse Tower: Experience the very best views of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of Paris from the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower. Teachers and students love this visit as it s a very safe environment from which to understand the layout of Paris and admire its beautiful architecture. Both the roof terrace and the 56th floor have recently been refurbished, offering an enhanced visitor experience. On the 56th floor, you will find interactive facilities to discover Paris, such as touch screen viewpoint tables and multimedia kiosks, permanent exhibition and photo gallery, a souvenir shop and the 360 Café the highest café lounge in Paris. Coach transfer back to accommodation OVERNIGHT in Paris PARIS Coach transfers to Versailles - The Palace of Versailles: Enjoy an audio guided tour of Versailles where you shall visit the beautiful 17 th century palace and surrounding gardens. The court of Versailles was the centre of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. - Louvre audio guided tour: The Louvre, originally a palace but now one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art. There are 35,000 paintings, sculptures and relics displayed over 60,000 square metres of exhibition space. The Louvre holds some of the world's most famous works of art, such as the Mona Lisa, The Virgin and Child and the Venus de Milo. OVERNIGHT in Paris PARIS to NORMANDY Depart Paris this morning for your journey to Normandy by private coach. - Bayeux: Bayeux is the home of the Bayeux Tapestry, one of the oldest surviving complete tapestries in the world made to commemorate events in the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. Then you ll visit the wonderful Norman-Romanesque Bayeux Cathedral, the seat of the

Day 5 Snacks Day 6 Day 7 Bishop of Bayeux. It was the original home of the Bayeux Tapestry and is a national monument of France. Arrive at the Chateau du Molay in time to get settled into your rooms before dinner. Evening on-site activity: Chateau team is on-hand to organise popular fun and games, such as talent shows, karaoke and our famous Chateau disco! OVERNIGHT Chateau du Molay, Normandy NORMANDY - Mont St Michel: Discover Mont-Saint-Michel and its abbey on the border between Normandy and Brittany, one of the first sites to obtain UNESCO World Heritage listing. Be amazed by the prodigious accomplishments of medieval architecture, by the forces of nature, and the everchanging light. - Oyster Farm: Visit to an Oyster farm to learn about the oyster farming process and see how the oysters are grown. Can include tasting of 6 x calibre no.4 oysters - Cheese tasting at the Chateau Evening on-site activity OVERNIGHT Chateau du Molay, Normandy NORMANDY - Professional Guided tour of the D-day Landing beaches. Enjoy a Stop at Benouville to see Pegasus Bridge, named in honour of the Parachute Regiment whose emblem is the Pegasus. Visit the Memorial Pegasus, which consists of a new museum dedicated to the troops of the 6th Airborne Division and the original Pegasus Bridge. The museum was created to honour the first liberators to have landed in Normandy on the night of 5th-6th June 1944. Using authentic objects and documents, the principle missions of the Division are described along with the conditions in which soldiers and civilians lived during the first hours of liberation. You will also stop in Arromanches to visit the 360 Arromanches cinema where you will watch a film about WWII and visit the D-day museum before visiting Omaha Beach American Cemetery; 172.5 acres containing the graves of 9,387 of military dead. Farewell Disco at the Chateau du Molay OVERNIGHT Chateau du Molay, Normandy NORMANDY to SOMME Transfer from Normandy to Somme by private coach. Armistice Memorial, Compiegne: Located in a peaceful park is the Armistice Memorial and Museum. Pride of place within the museum stands a reproduction of the wagon where the Armistice of 22 nd June 1940 was signed between Germany and France, and where the Armistice of 11 th November 1918 was signed between Germany and the Allies. Other exhibits are on show from WW1 specifically including newspaper articles, photos from the front line, and old film footage. Franco Australian Museum (L Ecole Victoria): The first floor of the school building, the gift of the children of the schools in Victoria to the children of Villers-Bretonneux, contains the Franco-Australian museum. It illustrates the role of the Australian troops during the First World War (photographs, models, uniforms, weapons, ). It also has a documentation centre and a video room. Villers-Bretonneux Australian National Memorial: This imposing white stone memorial consists of a tall central tower and two corner pavilions linked to the tower by plain walls that bear the names of the missing-soldiers who have no known grave. Inaugurated in 1938, it is the location for an annual celebration of Anzac Day.

Day 8 Day 9 Day 10 Adelaide Cemetery: In 1993 the body of the Australian Unknown Soldier was exhumed in Adelaide Cemetery and taken to Australia for burial at Canberra. A carved Stele commemorates this event. Le Hamel Australian Memorial: The park was laid out by the Australian government. Apart from a memorial brought from Australia (the Australian Corps Memorial inaugurated on 7 th August 1998), the site s panoramic displays and explanatory panels explain the strategic significance of the site during the battle. Some trenches have been preserved here. OVERNIGHT in Somme area SOMME to YPRES Transfer from Somme to Ypres stopping en-route at several important sites. Fromelles: The organisation behind the battle at Fromelles was poor as so much planning and energy was being invested in the Somme campaign. Few would doubt that the planning was a fiasco. Fromelles was one of the worst disasters to befall the Australian Army in the whole of World War One and it did a great deal too sour relations between British and Australian senior army commanders. Pheasant Wood: In 2008 a mass grave of about 400 Allied soldiers was discovered at Pheasant Wood near to Fromelles. It is believed that the Germans quickly put as many bodies as they could into a mass grave to prevent the spread of disease. The bodies have now been reburied at the new cemetery Pheasant Wood. Chocolaterie Ledoux - Chocolate Factory Tour: A guided tour where you will see the production process from melting the chocolate until the finished product. The guided tour is followed by a tasting and the opportunity to buy chocolates. Evening Menin Gate Ceremony: Every night at 8.00pm a moving ceremony takes place under the Menin Gate in Ieper. For a few moments the noise of traffic ceases and stillness descends over the memorial. Up to six members of the regular buglers from the local volunteer Fire Brigade step into the roadway under the memorial arch. They play Last Post, followed by a short silence and then play Reveille. Visiting groups may lay a wreath and say a few words. OVERNIGHT in Ypres YPRES ACITIVITY: - Australian Platoon Experience: Your party puts itself in the position of an Australian platoon in 1917 following the bloody track to Tyne Cot Cemetery. Based on a historically well underpinned story the experienced guides lead students aged 14 and over on their way. After a visit to the memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, an excellent introduction to war events and the circumstances in which men tried to survive at the front, we set off. Along the disused Ieper-Roeselare railway track, we walk in the wake of a platoon of the 3 rd Australian Division during their attack on 4 th October 1917. All students are fully dressed and equipped as an Australian unit from this time, uniform, luggage and rifle included. They will get to know more and more about the soldiers they are playing and at the end of the day, in Tyne Cot Cemetery, they will be informed about their soldier s fate. A sobering confrontation! OVERNIGHT in Ypres YPRES to BRUSSELS Transfer to Brussels - Free day to explore Brussels at leisure. OVERNIGHT in Brussels

Day 11 Day 12 Day 13 Meals on Flights Day 14 BRUSELLS to PARIS Coach transfer to Paris - Champs Elysees & Arc De Triomphe: The Avenue des Champs-Élysées is a prestigious avenue in Paris, France. With its cinemas, cafés, luxury specialty shops and clipped horse-chestnut trees, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous streets in the world. - Bateaux Parisiens Lunch cruise: This is a great way to view the sites of Paris from a different perspective. The glass covered decks make it possible to see the Eiffel tower, Notre dame and the Louvre while you cruise along the River Seine in comfort. - Musee D Orsay: The Musee d Orsay is a museum in Paris, France, on the left bank of the Seine. It is housed in the former Gare d'orsay, an impressive Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900. The museum holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1915, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography. It is probably best known for its extensive collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces (the largest in the world) by such painters such as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, Seurat, Sisley, Gauguin and Van Gogh. OVERNIGHT in Paris PARIS to DISNEYLAND to PARIS - Disneyland Park: With more than 40 rides in Disneyland Park and further rides, stunt shows and themed zones in Walt Disney Studios Park, your group will have hours of fun and thrills.
