Having established a base already at Atatürk International Airport, we assessed the aircraft movements at Bodrum Airport and found that there was a distinct requirement to have a hangar that can carry out our MRO services. To date, AMAC Aerospace are the first to use a mixed business model for this hangar facility where during the winter months, the hangar will carry out commercial line and base maintenance. During the summer months, the MRO services will flip over to VIP business maintenance. AMAC Aerospace s new hangar in Bodrum, Turkey. New Hangar in Bodrum AMAC has recognized the business potential of Bodrum and has decided to extend its presence further in Turkey. AMAC Aerospace s newest hangar is located in the South West of Turkey at the popular tourist destination of Bodrum-Milas Airport and is the only MRO at this location. The hangar is strategically positioned directly next to the main taxiway and offers services for both line and base maintenance. Equipped with the latest and most technological hardware and construction, we aim to lead from the beginning. The hangar comprises of 4,626 m 2 of shop floor and is able to accommodate one wide body, for example a Boeing B777-200 and/or Airbus A330/ A340 or two Boeing B737s and/or Airbus A32Fs, wing tip to wing tip. Tailwind Airlines has signed contracts with AMAC Aerospace for their fleet of Boeing 737-400 aircraft. In the beginning of 2018 the first aircraft arrived for maintenance and underwent a C13 check at AMAC s new facility in Bodrum, Turkey. This involved removing the majority of all exterior access panels in order to perform the required inspections. Furthermore a full cabin removal which included seating, side ledges, floor and ceiling panels. In addition to this the cargo bay liners had been removed, all to perform a 450 man-hour NDT inspection. The total package was approximately 1,400 man-hours of work not including findings during the inspections. It is a privilege to be involved with the launch of AMAC Aerospace s name within the commercial airline market and reinforcing an already stable reputation in Turkey. I am confident that with our experienced team we have put in place that the quality will be high whilst still being competitive to the rest of the local and European markets. The business model for Bodrum includes line and base maintenance checks on commercial aircraft during winter season, with Line Maintenance support for Business Aviation clients in the summer as well as private aircraft handling, AOG support and parking for any Business Aviation clients during summer season. The nose-to-tail VVIP cabin is decorated with the highest levels of custom furniture, monuments and exotic material. STCs and KA Band installations at AMAC in Basel, Switzerland New Supplemental Type Certificate for the Ka Band Antenna installation on A330s has been developed and made available to the market by AMAC Aerospace AMAC Aerospace proudly announced that a new STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) for the Ka Band Antenna Installation on an Airbus A330 had been successfully developed by AMAC s in-house engineering department in Q3, 2017. The Honeywell Jetwave Ka Band Satcom System including antenna was installed during a base maintenance check, during which also several cabin interior modifications and upgrades have been performed. The Ka Band System delivers broadband internet service to the business jet market and ensures an impressive connectivity experience. The increased data speed enables business jet users greater access to Internet TV and video streaming across multiple on-board devices. It also supports uninterrupted WiFi enabled email, web-browsing, video conferencing, data file transfers, and voice and text capabilities. The A330-200 VIP aircraft was finally delivered on time and on budget to AMAC s esteemed client in Q3, 2017. A KA band system has been installed on the Head-of-State A330-200.

A C-check in conjunction with a full IFE upgrade to large 4K monitors, new switch panels and further enhancements for the passengers comfort during operations were performed by AMAC Aerospace s experienced Airbus team. AMAC s in-house developed STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) for the KA band installation on an A330-200 aircraft was re-used when installing a KA band system on the headof-state aircraft. In addition, AMAC refurbished the seats and the aircraft underwent an Obsolesce Program, where all the obsolete parts and components of the aircraft were removed and replaced with current state-of-the-art parts and equipment. Heavy base maintenance check and KA Band installation on an A319 Another KA Band system was installed on an A319 in Q1, 2018. The aircraft was brought to AMAC to undergo a 6-year inspection in conjunction with the installation of a KA band system. The Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) was developed in-house by AMAC s engineering department and was made available to the market to all ACJ operators in March, 2018. A KA band system has been installed on the Head-of-State A330-200
Wide body maintenance at AMAC Aerospace 24 months inspection on a Head-of-State B747-8i A Head-of-State Boeing B747-8i VVIP aircraft was redelivered to AMAC Aerospace s esteemed client after a 24 month inspection in Q2, 2017. Maintenance checks were performed along with SB s among which heavy modifications were required to fully remove all flaps for a center bearing rework. During the input a number of cabin items were carried out to fulfill the customers high expectations to have a new cabin appearance in his VVIP flagship. 12 years inspection on a Head-of-State A340-200 A head of state Airbus A340-200 VVIP aircraft was re-delivered to AMAC s esteemed client after a 12 year base maintenance inspection in Q2, 2017. The base maintenance check was the heaviest maintenance check ever carried out at AMAC s facility in Basel, Switzerland. It accrued over 22 000 man hours of maintenance work and over 10 000 hours of production shop work for full cabin refurbishment work, which was performed in parallel to the maintenance check, implementation of AD s and SB s and a landing gear overhaul. AMAC Aerospace has successfully returned to service the Head-of-State B747-8i aircraft An Airbus A340-200 was inducted for a 12 year base maintenance inspection with landing gear overhaul.
New Maintenance Approvals for AMAC Aerospace Maintenance approvals for Taiwan and Bahrain AMAC Aerospace received the maintenance approval to work on Taiwanese registered aircraft in Q3, 2017. The approval process was initiated by a new customer of AMAC who owns an Airbus A319 aircraft and requested to have the maintenance done at AMAC s facility in Basel, Switzerland. The approval was issued by the CAA (Civil Aeronautics Administration China) and allows AMAC Aerospace to perform further maintenance checks on aircraft that are registered in Taiwan. In addition, AMAC Aerospace has also recently received a new maintenance approval to work on aircraft, which are registered in Bahrain. Renewal of FAA approval in Istanbul, Turkey AMAC Aerospace Turkey successfully renewed its FAA Part-145 approval in Q2, 2017. AMAC Aerospace Turkey are authorized to undertake repair station work on Airframes, Power Plants, Propellers and Accessories on N-registered aircraft. The renewed certificate continues in effect until Q3 2018.

JCB AERO has a regular production basis of two shipsets per month: O&G and SAR. JCB AERO has been entrusted with the manufacturing and installation of composite seats on an Airbus A350 aircraft. A trust based relationship with the prestigious ZODIAC Group has resulted in a 3-year contract for several projects. Manufactured at JCB s facilities, at AUCH-Lamothe airport, southwest France, the seat shells are sent on a regular production basis of 4 packs per day to Zodiac s facilities.
