Once you've had the chance to experience the world-famous theme parks, there are fabulous area attractions including live dinner shows, interactive science museums, outdoor nature centres and much more! With its bombast, over-the-top showmanship, and extravagant deployment of dreams as daily entertainment, Orlando may be the most quintessentially American city in America. It's also the most popular family destination on earth; almost 50 million people a year flood its theme parks and hotels in an endless pursuit of childhood fantasy. Though the vast majority orbits the big-ticket amusements furnished by Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld, there s also a lesser-known, surprisingly sophisticated city rooted in Old Florida values for those who seek it out. Day 1 Groups participating in Visions s Orlando Science will generally arrive in the afternoon via air or motorcoach. Upon arrival, we ll check into our hotel, have dinner, and get ready for a week of fun! Your full day of exploration includes real space hardware, authentic attractions, inspiring exhibits and hands-on experiences that will make KSC the highlight of your Florida tour. The incredible accomplishments of the Apollo moon program return to life in the amazing Apollo/Saturn V Center. In back-to-back IMAX theatres, you'll feel the thrill of space exploration on five-story screens as you "float" right alongside NASA Astronauts. On our guided tours into exclusive areas, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at Kennedy Space Center's working space flight facilities. Strap in and experience interactive space flight simulators at the Astronaut Hall of Fame. Touch a real piece of Mars, see gigantic rockets, board the Space Shuttle Explorer and much more. Your exploration of Kennedy Space Center starts with one of the world renowned tours, where you depart the Visitor Complex to see awesome NASA facilities, including the massive launch pads, gigantic Vehicle Assembly Building, and exploring the awe inspiring Apollo/Saturn V Center. There is much to do at the Visitor Complex when you return, from live action theatrical shows like Mad Mission to Mars, to the inspiring Astronaut Encounter briefing with an actual NASA Astronaut - one of the few people on Earth who have been to space. View ten-story high rockets from all eras of space exploration in the Rocket Garden, walk through a full-size Space Shuttle mockup, see IMAX space films on gigantic five-story screens, and see an actual Gemini program capsule on display in Early Space Exploration. NASA s Salute to Science Master Class Vision groups will be thrilled with this 6-hour programme! The interactive experience features a fun, educational and team building experience. Participants are greeted by the Education Team to kick-off and then after meeting one of America s astronauts and learning about space missions, a challenge is given to the students. Prizes are awarded for winning teams within their age groups. The Salute to Science Master Class includes: A private briefing to learn about important science concepts related to space exploration A private presentation with an astronaut Hands-on/Minds-on Team Engineering Project Admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor s Center which includes special activities, IMAX films, the Kennedy Space Center tour, Shuttle Launch Experience, U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, plus all shows and exhibits LUNCH After a tremendous day, you ll head back to the hotel for dinner and a well-deserved night of rest! IMPORTANT NOTE Please be aware that this day includes 10-hours of motorcoach time. As NASA is approximately a 1.5- hour drive from your hotel, the time reserved breaks out to 3 hours for travel to/from NASA plus 7-hours to explore the Visitors Centre and complete the Student ATX program if elected (with time out for a packed meal which serves as dinner). Day 4 Breakfast & Rise & shine Orlando! Today we re headed for another great day of hands-on Science discovery! After breakfast, we re off to one of America s great parks SeaWorld of Orlando! SeaWorld Saving Our Seas! Embark on a journey in this behind-the-scenes look at SeaWorld s efforts to preserve and protect the many species that share our planet. Students will investigate the challenges and problems facing dolphins, manatees and sea turtles as they encounter these animals up-close and in person. In this specialty science exploration, you ll be paired with a marine biology expert who will lead your group through all the many challenges in today s marine world. Visit behind-the-scenes exhibits and gain a better understanding of the daily operations at SeaWorld; discover the work being done to help protect endangered animals; attend educational presentations and entertaining animal presentations all the while learning from the experience and knowledge of a SeaWorld instructor! Time for rides and attractions too! During the day students will participate in the above 5-hour Master Class program and then have time to enjoy the park afterwards. Tonight we ll enjoy dinner and a show at WonderWorks! WonderWorks & The Outta Control Magic Comedy Show Wonderworks is an amusement park for the mind, combining education and entertainment in over 100 hands-on exhibits for students of all ages. Students will feel the 65-mph hurricane force winds, be shaken by a 5.3 earthquake, play virtual sports, land the space shuttle, fly a fighter jet, lay on a bed of nails, design and ride their own roller coaster and even compete in a Laser Tag game in the world s largest Laser Tag Arena & Arcade! Schools will also experience the Outta Control Comedy/Magic Show combining high-energy comedy improvisation with spectacular magic to thoroughly entertain audiences of all ages! Busch Gardens Zoo School During this 4-hour specialty science program, students will start their day with a Wildlife Theatre Presentation Saving Our World. This unique, conservation-based presentation in cooperation with the SeaWorld-Busch Gardens Conservation Fund and the National Geographic Society highlights animal research projects around the world. In the 30-minute presentation students will travel around the globe with some of Busch Garden s most exotic animals all while learning about geography, animal research and research technology. Then later, grab a seat to ride aboard the Serengeti Express the exclusive Zoo School train. Busch Gardens Wildlife Medics Program During this 1-hour program students will get up close and personal with a look into veterinary medicine. From curing illnesses to new animal births, the daily experiences of veterinarians are challenging and rewarding. As students learn about the world of exotic animal medicine they will have an opportunity to: Participate in a mock assessment of animal health Sea how Busch Gardens cares for its biggest and smallest ambassadors Get up close and personal with some of the animal residents! Later, we ll have free time at the park for fun before heading back to Orlando. Upon our return we ll have dinner at the hotel and then the evening is ours. Perhaps an evening session at Wet-n-Wild? The night is ours! Day 6 Breakfast Good morning Orlando! Following breakfast at our hotel and a morning of leisure, groups will start to say goodbye to our new friends and get ready to depart Orlando; bringing home memories that will last a lifetime.
