INTRODUCTION Mountain Air's (MTN) website is unique in that it is a continual work-in-progress and is more than just screenshot pictures and a place to post a Forum message now and then. It is a critical part of the MTN organization and provides updated information and functional pilot tools along with educational materials. Try to check the MTN Forum several times a week. The Forum has a section dedicated to this website and will contain updates and new information as necessary. It is also a good place for you to post questions if you encounter an issue while using the website. NOTE: If at anytime you try to gain access to information in the secure MTN database and are not logged in with your MTN callsign and database password, you will be required to enter that information before you are granted access. Throughout this manual, the red arrows indicate mouse selectable points. Fig. 1: Mountain Air's "Home" webpage. Page 3 of 31

PIREP Entry This is the manual method of filing your PIREP upon completion of a flight. PIREPs are required to be filed to earn points; both for your individual flights and participation in Events, such as the Group Flights. Fig. 18: Pilot Report (PIREP). What to select in the Flight Hub Area : If both your departure and arrival airports are hubs, select the departure hub. If either airport is a hub, but not both, select the hub airport. If neither airport is a hub, and the flight is in the continental U.S., Alaska, southern Canada, northern Mexico or the Caribbean islands region, select the hub closest to the largest part of the flight. All others select No hub area. Page 15 of 31

Promotion Request Fig. 19: Promotion Request window. IMPORTANT: You MUST request a promotion when you believe you have met the requirements for the specific rank. Promotions are not given without an appropriate request submitted by the pilot. Points Test This window allows you to see how many points will be earned if a particular flight is flown. Fig. 20: Points Test window. Help-Tip: Note: A Charter flight is any flight that does not appear in MTN's official flight database (no assigned flight number). For example, if you planned and flew a flight from KGPI to S59, that would be logged as a Charter because that city-pair does not show up in the database under an official MTN flight number. Page 16 of 31

Top Landings This selection will bring up a page that displays the best landings as reported by FSAcars. Only flights logged with FSAcars are eligible, and only flights that are more than.5 hours block time. Block time is the time between the dropping of your brakes at the departure gate, until the time when you set your brakes at the arrival gate. Items in these reports that are highlighted with blue letters/numbers and underlining are selectable and if selected will provide additional information related to that specific item. Fig. 21: Sample of one of the "Best Landing" reports. Logbook Search Fig. 22: Logbook search results. #1: Selecting the date will bring up the full FSAcars log of this specific flight if the PIREP was filed using FSAcars. #2: Selecting the pilot's callsign will take you to that pilot's personal Secure Pilot Area. All items highlighted with blue or magenta letters/numbers and underlining are selectable and if selected will provide additional information related to that specific item. Page 17 of 31

Flight Search This is search engine that allows you to find all official flight routes in the MTN database that match your search criteria. By leaving certain window(s) blank can widen your search. For example, if you left Origin blank, and entered Destination as KSLC, Division as Any, and Aircraft as Bombardier Canadian Regional Jet 200, you would get a listing of all flights that use a CRJ-200 aircraft and scheduled to fly into Salt Lake City (the figure only shows part of the search results; three are actually 24 flights that match this example search criteria). Fig. 23: Flight search results. #1: Entered search criteria data. #2: This selection will bring up the MTN database Flight Details Page (shown below) of this specific flight. From this Flights Detail Page you can dispatch the flight to yourself. #3: Selecting either the origin or destination ICAO codes will bring up the airport page which shows current weather conditions (both real-time and VATSIM METARs) at that location, all other scheduled arrivals and departures for that airport, the last 10 actual flights involving that airport, destinations map, and access to that airport's aviation charts. Like other search result reports, all items highlighted with blue letters/numbers and underlining are selectable and if selected will provide additional information related to that specific item. Page 18 of 31

Flight Details Page Fig. 24: Flight Details Page. #1: Selecting either of the airport ICAO codes will take you to the airport detail page. #2: This selection is very important in helping MTN maintain up to date routes. Page 21 of 31

Aircraft Update This function is used only when you are using FSAcars AND flying Off-Line. You should enter the aircraft ICAO code when you are preparing to depart on your flight. If you fly online and using FSAcars, you can ignore this feature. Fig. 29: Aircraft ICAO Code update window. #1: Enter the aircraft ICAO code; e.g. CRJ-200 is CRJ2. Flight Board The MTN full Flight Board displays the most recent flights being flown using the FSAcars automated system, and flown and reported by manually filing the PIREP. If a flight is being flown using FSAcars, the flight will appear real-time on the Flight Board. If the flight is flown and the PIREP filed manually, the flight will not be displayed on the Flight Board until after the flight is completed and the PIREP is filed. This window automatically refreshes every two minutes. Fig. 30: Full Flight Board. Page 22 of 31

Fig. 31: Real time tracking map. This example shows MTN005 shortly after leaving KSLC for KFAR. This information will be updated real-time as the flight progresses. All flights, either being flown on- or off-line that are using FSAcars are displayed. Flights not using FSAcers will not be displayed. Forum The MTN Forum is the airline's communication backbone. The Forum is very active and therefore pilots are encouraged to check it several times a week to stay up-to-date with changes, announcements, and events. It is also an excellent place to receive help with problems pertaining to software, hardware, flight simming issues or activities, MTN items, etc. To enter the Forum, use your MTN callsign and Forum password. NOTE: Your Forum password is not your MTN secure database password. Fig. 32: MTN Forum log in area. Page 23 of 31

Training Access to MTN's training materials require logging into the database. The program consists of three prongs: Documents, videos, and online one-on-one assistance. The PDF documents are for your use and study. They cover basic issues such as installing software to connect to online servers, and basic VFR and IFR VATSIM flying. The videos cover much of the same material as the training manuals, but offer step by step instructions with corresponding video. The oneon-one online training is provided upon pilot request. You are matched with a MTN trainer for handson learning. This training will be based on an individual pilot's need, and may be a single short session, or could be several sessions stretched over several weeks. Fleet This section is under review & construction. Scenery This section is under review & construction. Page 24 of 31

New Pilots This page provides a quick snap-shot of important information for those considering Mountain Air Virtual Airlines as an airline to join, or recently new members wondering how to begin their career.
