Esplanade Zagreb (Deluxe Room) Day 2: Zagreb & Croatian Highlands Zagreb is distinguished by its 18th and 19th century Austro- Hungarian architecture and is rich in cultural and historical monuments, museums and galleries. This morning, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city including a walk through the charming Upper Town. Later drive to the beautiful Croatian Highlands to the medieval Trakoscan Castle which dates to the 13th century (B). Esplanade Zagreb (Deluxe Room) Day 3: Zagreb - Split Today you travel south to the buzzing city of Split. Stop en route in the Plitvice Lakes National Park which contains a series of beautiful shimmering turquoise lakes and cascading waterfalls that are linked by emerald forests and meadows of wild flowers. After lunch, drive over the Loven mountain to Cetinje, the former capital, and home of Montenegro s greatest poet and king whose mausoleum rests above the city on the summit of Mt Loven. Visit the National Museum of Montenegro which is located in King Nikola I s former residence before returning to Dubrovnik in the early evening (B).
