Palisades Variety Camp Come with us as we create, explore, learn and play. This summer is filled with fun and opportunity at the Palisades Tennis Complex. Experience a variety of camp activities all summer long. Start each morning off with a 1 hour tennis lesson or CrossFit kids class. Daily activities include a variety of science, crafts, swimming, sports and games. Each week will include classes from local education programs. Mad Sciecnce, Acting Up, and Bricks4kidz. Every Friday campers will celebrate the week with a pizza/ice cream party and bouncing around on a HUGE waterslide inflatable. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONS Mad Science - Once a week your child will be able to touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about. We use simple, real world science techniques that allow all ages of campers to enjoy our learning environment. Campers create, build and assemble a variety of take-home projects while exploring how science affects the world around us. Children have so much fun that they forget they re learning! Bricks4kidz - Once a week campers will build on the universal popularity of LEGO bricks to deliver a high quality of educational play. Campers construct a new model each week based on exciting themes from space to sports, amusement parks to animals. CrossFit Kids - Twice a week campers will participate on a fun scaled down version of CrossFit. Kids will push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, jump, effectively and safely regardless of whether or not they play athletics. Campers are sure to have a blast! Tennis - Three times a week campers will get 1 hour of intermediate/beginner tennis each day and are sure to have fun, laugh and learn. Exploring Nature - Campers will discover trails within the Palisades while finding things in nature and participating in scavenger hunts. Swimming - At the end of each day campers will cool off from the hot summer sun and play pool games with their friends. Lifeguards and counselors will be on duty at all times. Arts and Crafts - Campers will create fun projects like pet rocks, games they can take home, and much more. Sports/Games - Each day campers will learn and play a new sport or activity like water balloon fights, dodgeball, kickball, relay races, and more. This keeps children engaged, stimulates their imagination and ensures even kids who might not like sports to participate! Acting Up - Once a week campers will take a performing arts class and learn many important life skills and become more posed individuals. They will experience growth by setting the stage for self-confidence and teamwork. Fun Friday - Each Friday will be celebrated with a HUGE inflatable waterslide, swimming, pizza and ice cream.
